I don't wear my ring for the same reason. My dad had to have his wedding band cut off when I was a kid because it got caught.

One of the fellows I worked with at an Electrical company got his finger blown off. Gold is a really good conductor and he got too close to a live wire and POW, his finger got fried. I don't wear mine at work at all.

the exact thing happened to a pe teacher at my school he ripped it off on a nail and its just a nub its so gross.

HEHE Yeah im a mehcanic i dont wear ANYTHIGN for that resone. No rings watches neceleses heck i even go as far AS shaveing my head as not to get my hair cought in the creeper wheels (HURTS LIKE NOTHING ELSE).
But i still got some nasty scars lol. :rolleyes:

saw a kid in my gym class get his ring stuck in the net. broke the thing at a 90* angle which i still shuder when thinking about it.

A friend of mine got his ring caught on a basketball goal net when he dunked the ball. Now he only has four fingers... :(
