I know most of ya'll aren't huge fans of the Ion, but I'm sure you can still appreciate this.

(Right click, "Save As...", etc.)

Each frame corresponds to about 2ms... it's as chronographically correct as I could estimate. Everything but the barrel, feedneck, and balls (all added in PS) is dimentionally accurate (the placement of each is accurate, but the ID/OD/etc. may not be). Everything (except for said parts) was drawn in CAD from measurements of an actual Ion.

My ISP may take a dump because of the huge bandwidth PBN/AO will probably generate from a 132KB image, so go ahead and save it in case it goes down.

Yes, it's rev'ed... I'll probably do some cleanup and/or additions later. Comments and suggestions welcome.

Enjoy.

it would be really cool if you get to cycle at 17 bps, or at least the cap of the gun.

but it is really cool to see though. :headbang:

Would it be able to handle CO2 exceptionally well like a old Shocker with that potentially large empty chamber?

gun reccomends anti siphon co2 only or comp air...

suppose you could use non siphon but itd just be that much harder on the gun.

Twiek...Does anyone have the specs/measurements for an ANGEL? More importantly I am looking for the hammer/ram assembly.

So if I get it correctly, some air pushes it back, and then some air pushes it forward?..;)

Ha ha, that is a pretty cool animation.

great job! and i do appreciate it. It truely shows that the ion is just a spoolvalve dumbed down to the extreme... nice job man

As an owner of an original (non-dye) matrix I'd say not dumbed down but
simplified in a very elegant way

hehe ok, il give it that, highly symplified. baisically the body is the sealing parts of the spoolvalve. makes alot of sense, and its alot like what dye did with the fuse bolt.

I know the woes of an old matrix and the multiple bolt parts though, i had an old toxic trix.. that thing was my baby.. exceptcleaning time always was a bit of a hassle in the beginning, getting everything on the bolt, then sliding it all back in

its exactly the same as a freestyle except there is no solenoid timing so its more effecient but probably slower
