Okay I'm in a state of shock. Before I thought Action Markers was just a par company that made guns new players could use.. or some par milsim deals..

Now I go to their site and start watching the Diadem videos and all I can say is :wow: SHIOT!

Where's the hype for this thing? I mean holy.. the eyes on it are perfect, it shot a case of paint on full auto and never chopped a thing.. it does 25bps...

My only gripe is it's not the prettiest thing but holy crap! I almost want to go guy one as soon as the LCD Deluxe is in stock!!!!

UGH!!! somebody speak on this thing!

The Diadem has been going to be "the next big thing" for like over two years. Angelic perfomance at earthly prices  . Great idea when the $500 price point was unheard of in an electro-pneumatic - kinda got stiffed by the Ion on that deal.

As for the video, WOW.. . I have watched it, came with my last part from Action markers (stock feed tube for a pump mag I had built). Then again - give me enough tries and I can produce a video showing awesome things too. In fairness I did talk with them about it once and they told me they had a couple chops in like 20 cases.. which is exceptionally good I would think.

They have had a large number of functioning prototypes for a long time. I still don't know that you can by the Diadem. I have held one of the prototypes in person awhile ago and it was surprisingly comfortable. Did not get a chance to shoot it so can't say anything about that.

Good... Action Markers puts a lot of work into what they do, they are dedicated to the sport and they have been the target of less than sincere attempts by K2 against there Illussion line of markers. They have shown a tremendous dedication to not rush this thing to market and to make sure they had tested it thoroughly. They deserve a break - as if deserving something makes it happen.

another proud diadem owner? :D

at least his comment was about the gun and not a person.

I never really have interest in many other guns. I have gone through enough and I am content w/ my viking, now that it is nicely upped.

Grr... I've heard decent things about Action Markers.

I've heard less than decent things about certain newblars.

well i'm just saying what i observed
if i'm gonna get flamed for that, ok fine

have you ever seen a diadem in real life?
i sure haven't

and saying a marker is a flop doesn't mean i'm saying it sucks although i wouldn't buy one myself
i have looked into it before, and i have decided againsted it from reasons i can't remember but i'm sure are justified

go shoot one and see
i've been told by people that actually shot one that they were not impressed
and what's so special about it anyways...?
great it does 25bps, i'm sure many guns can do that if they go on uncapped full auto
and the eyes are great? so are many others, dye eyes are great, so are icd pds, heck even vision is pretty good, not to mention predator eyes and other aftermarket ones
even a mag can shoot 25bps without chops, and it doesn't even have eyes....

Simply bad engineering and horrid grip frame. Look at what bob can fit in his frames, hell, look at dye, they have a standard 45 frame and can fit a battery, board, and solenoid in there gun without needing a big hump on the gun. Once they can have a smaller hump and have a battery, solenoid and board fit in there, I'll consider(no I won't), I'll buy one.

A bunch of us played a tournament sponsored by AM, and all the teams used the Diadem. I happened to like it well, balanced easy to use. Even though it was an early version with no eyes, and they had to limit them to 13bps, they still ripped pretty easy. I am looking to buy one sometime. I really enjoyed playing with it when I had a chance.

*EDIT* When we played with them they were looking into the eyes, they went with our input on the matter and went with break beam. If you check out their site and actually read it, you will see they do sell them with eyes. AMP Diadem (http://www.actionmarkers.com/amProductPages/amDiademITS.htm)

I've got no opinion on this marker, or on the opinions expressed above, but isn't this simply another version of the timmy/BK's/impy/etc etc etc?

Kudos to a company for not rushing the product to market prematurely, however.

I think that there are issues with the marker - that beign said I do not think it was bad engineering. Not being very familar with it I will point out that they tested this more than any marker I know of off hand, they tried different things, they tested, they changed... I think it is very well thought out, very well considered, and is a good job of engineering. I think everything does fit in without the hump - it almost looks like its added on to the back of the .45?..

That being said I do agree wtih you that I don't like the hump, though it is surprisingly comfortable I am not rushing to buy one. Not that changing the hump would change that... I reiterate that though I beleive this is a better marker than the Ion the Ion cut its "Angelic performance Earthly price" angle.

I happened to really like the feel of it while shooting, very comfy. As for the ION vs Diadem debate I would take one of these over the SP crap. IMO, Ions feel too cheaply built, and the Diadem feels much better. I own a AMP Illusion and I love it, works flawlessly and it a rock solid performer. If the Illusion is any indicator, the Diadem won't disappoint.

the hump was but there for "egromonic" reasons
but ugly and unneeded IMO

I didn't clarify something I should have. I think, from the one I held and shot, from what I know of AM, and of what I know of the development of this marker that it is a better marker than the Ion - and I own an Ion.

However "Angelic performance, earthly prices" did not just come to me in a dream (I think, I hope) something of that nature was on one of there videos. I just pointed out that AM had aimed for a market where they could be the "economy" "high end" marker. The Ion kind of cut that angle away from them.

That being said yes I beleive the Diadem is a better marker - based on limited knowledge.

Actually those guns all function on the exact same design principal.

And unless they changed something since, the ones I shoot as WC last year were based on the BKO design. Pneu Ramed to fire, spring return. I was quite suprised by that and the exposed hoses that can be seen here and there.

And I'll also just say this...not feeing that frame AT ALL. :)

BUT....

AM normally makes quality products which I make no negative claims about here.
