Well I have air in my tank, and it's been there a little while but I plan on keeping it there. Will that affect the regulator and springs? I heard on the early Flatlines it did.

By the way I have a 47 ci Pure Energy 3000 psi steel.

I always leave air in my HPA tanks. My PE 88/3000 leaks a bit, maybe 500psi a week. I also leave my SCUBA's filled.

I'm an old mixed gas diver....

The rule of thumb with any compressed air cylinder is to leave at lease 500 psi in the tank.

This will ensure moisture does not enter the cylinder.

Once moister enter the cylinder it can cause problems, at least on steel cylinders.

The question about the regulator, I can't answer:confused:

Mike, I have the same tank as you do and I have had air in it for at least 3 weeks now and nothing has gone wrong with the regulator or the tank. The air will be fine in your tank for a long time.
