How do we remove the feedneck on the ULE bodies?

Man, I've been working on my CFULE body for hours, and I can't get that sucker off. I've tried strap wrenches, heat, ice, the works. What else should I try? :tard:

try a hacksaw. but if you don't want to damage it, then get some lube of some sort (watery) and put it on there and then try.

With that much trouble, you might have to damage the feedneck to get it out. If it doesn't bother you, take the body off the marker, put it upside down in a vise (clamping on the the feedneck of course) and using both hands twist the body off the neck. Hope you don't have to do this, but it's just a suggestion if all else fails.

What kind of heat?

This may sound wierd but put it in a pot of boiling water for 15 - 20 minutes. That should break down the loctite enough to loosten it.

Yesterday , I bought new shells for my halo b, had like .5 grit sand paper. Didnt sand it enough and it came loose putting the hopper on. :D

Try wrapping the feedneck in duct tape and then use a wrench on it. The duct tape prevents any damage to the feed neck and the worst you'll have to deal with is using some goo-gone to get a little residue off. you may need to use a hair dryer to heat up the joint to loosen the loctite, but that and the tape should work like a charm.

I gently heated mine with a propane torch for a few seconds and then wrapped it with a leather glove and used chanel locks. It took some force but it came off within seconds. I caused no damage to the old feed neck. Just be careful to not heat the metal up too much.

It may be Loctited. Loctite melts at 300°F, so you could pop it in the oven at ~325° for fifteen minutes or so.

technically, its aluminum, so you really cant "weld" the feedneck on without using a LOT of heat
if you are replacing the feedneck with something else, then just stick it into the vice and twist
if you are just taking it off, then why first off, and second, heating it would be best

Well you could drill a hole in it. Than put a bolt throught it, It will come off. Than you can thread the hole like on the blazers, so you can keep your hopper nice and tite.

I just took mine off the other day. I juts used channel locks and a towel. Didnt damage it. Just dont spin the channel locks on it

I'm thinking of doing the same thing to put on a gripper feed neck. The body is Angel threaded right?

According to AGD, put it in hot boiling water for 15 minutes because of the loctite and then you can easily unscrew it off. I've done it and it works. This is the best way to do it because forcing it open could result to damages, though I've never heard of it breaking that way. Just do what the techs at AGD recommended.
