Hello, I would like to introduce my self, I am a member of A5OG and would like to give you guys a heads up. Here's a little inside information -- Tippmann was sold to another company and the Tippmann family is no longer controlling the business. The new Tippmann promised that the same great reliable product will not change, but it has for the worst IMO. I no longer use the E Grip on my A5 because the new Tippmann can't seen to get their act together, and its been to the factory for repairs 3 times now. I had enough. So on advice of a good friend, I picked the Tac One as my new Primary Woodsballer piece.

I believe that you'll be seeing a lot more A5 owners picking up the Tac One and finding their way over here. A5OG is primarily a senario/woodsball site, so once the members catch onto the quality/reliability of AGD, Tac One will be selling a little more than usual. Here's two pics - one of my Tippmann's , and my new Tac One. I'll be asking a number of questions about the inner working of AGD markers, so bear with me - I'm a newb.

Great decision man. Mags are extremely reliable, just like tippmanns.

So its now down to Automags and PMI as the only companies still in place since the 80's...

It was PMI, AGD, adn Tippmann, right?

I never liked the A5. The cyclone feed holds it back too much for my liking, and after all its a blowback. Somethign about the cyclone feed capping at 13.6bps gets me too.. Maybe I'm too much of a speedballer.

as long as the mag is fed oil like a toddler is fed milk, and it is running on nitro, mags will treat you all right. :shooting:

I agree that the A5 isn't as well suited to speedball as other brands, but in the woods - It does a great job (providing the E Grip is working). I hear the RT is more reliable for the A5 though. You really don't need more than 12 bps for woods/senario anyway.

If I remember correctly one of those tippy's eliminated me at TOPGUN last weekend. I was truely amazed at how well the A5OG guys played. Such a nice group of guys on and off the field....

It would be quite the dream that the Tac-One would take the place of the A-5 on the market… quite the dream indeed. No offense, but I just don’t see it happening. Tippmann has its place well carved out in that market and AGD is a lot too little, a lot too late. While the Tac-One may save AGD and keep them in the market, it simply will not push the A-5 out of the way and take its place.

The Tac-One is a great marker. But a few “issues” with an A-5s is not going to cause a huge market change. I don’t know of a single marker type that NEVER has a problem, or never has a “lemon” now and again. And Tippmann has a fantastic track record and reputation.

Yep, that would be the bottom Tippmann -- :) ..Small world isn't it. Since the A5OG's N ew J ersey T actical A ssault G roup uses TopGun as our official practice field, you'll probably see more of us over there. Its kinda easy to spot us (we're all dressed/equipped to attack a small country usually-lol.) You have to come over and say hello again. Those were good games, and the weather was perfect. Thanks for the nice welcome bud. Here's a shot of some of us on that day...

Now I like the sound of that... You guys have access to buildings? That would be great! I have at least 6 guys on my team that would definitely take your offer. Even just trying new outlaw fields is worth it. I'm just over the Gothels Bridge. We could probably do something in May/June. We're getting ready for a senario event at FOX 4 - Mass. http://www.fox4paintball.com/newsite/scenario-games.php. BTW - my team - NJTAG - is hosting a all night event at PBX Battlezone in Toms River. Here's the Flyer, if interested - PM me for details.

As far as coming over to your side of the bridge - I'll get a tentative head count first, and then will PM you when I know better schedule wise. Thanks.

Sadly I have heard a bunch of complaints as of late about sub par service from Tippmann. Seems to mainly center around the A5 egrip in paticular. Welcome to the mag family !!!!! Really dig on the Tac one.

Yeah, there's no denying that the older A5's were great woodsball markers. I love the Mil Sim stuff. The E Grip worked great, when it worked. But there's no getting around the fact that the E Grip wasn't egineered to last. When the armature pin starts to mushroom from rapid firing, the gun would just lock up. The length of the pin had to be just right, and thats the issue. They have to ditch this design and come up with a fully thought out system, but I'm done with the E grip thats for sure. I still use the stock mechanical trigger, its just not a high ROF gun anymore. Thats where the Tac One comes in. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

Welcome, I also own a Tac One and love it. It's a very solid marker. AGD makes a great product and has very loyal followers. AO is great place and you'll be able to learn anything you need to know about your marker here. Enjoy! :headbang:
