I am having trouble taking apart my mag. The problem is I can't get the front grip screw out. What kind of allen wrench does it take? I've been trying to get it out with a hex wrench, but I'm worried about the screw stripping, and then I wouldn't be able to remove it. Help me! I need to get it out so that I can install my new shadow rail!!!!

Crap, that means the previous owner of my gun must have partially stripped the screw, because my 1/8" hex slips.

New question: if the screw is stripped so that I can't use a 1/8" allen wrench to remove it, how do I get it out?

There are several different stripped screw removers you can find at at local hardware stores.

If you just want to do it the ghetto way, saw a slot into the head of the screw and use a flathead screwdriver to get it out.

The AGD front frame screw most definitly uses a 1/8" allen key. As does the field strip screw, the velocity adjuster, and sear axle pin. ;)

Hope you like that rail!

I've got about 3 of em, one in my room, one in the toolkit, and one in the gear bag. :)

All spray painted red so i can see em :)

Its also the same size for bottomline screws (dropforward attachting to the i-frame)
