freestyle definetly. I personally hate the older timmy's, and i'm trying to tell my friend to not buy one and get an alias instead, and i've had some troubles with my ion...

The Ion is the best bang for your buck right now as far as new guns are concerned.

if i were you i would get a mag, but that is not on yourlist so i would go with the freestype definatley.

I'd get the Freestyle personally, but if you don't have the budget, get the Ion. The Intimidator has way too much recommended maintenance IMO.

my ion hasnt let me down yet but I havent used it all that much. It is the most resonable priced of the three. if not working on a small budget I'd have to say freestyle.

Ah, there is hardly any maintenance required on a timmy. I lube the regs about once every 4-5 game plays, or if I get FSDO. Other than that, turn it on and go play. And a reg takes all of 3 turns to undo. If you spend more than 2 minutes maintaining you timmy, you've screwed something up bigtime.

That is definitely true. My alias is probably one of the easiest guns to maintain that I've ever owned.

ive owned my fair share of cockers, mags and impys and want something different. Ive seen freestyles on ebay for 450 range and was leaning towards one of those.

FREESTYLE. my teemate has one and when ever I am over i play with that think. Its small, light, Looks really good and Freakin rips. Now thats a bang for your buck......... Lets put it this way, Pro teams using ion ------- non. pros using Freestyle, naughty dogs, the ducks or whatever they are called, and i think another. Great gun

If we as paintballers/you as a paintballer at at the point where Timmy maintenance is too much to handle, we/you have some issues that need to be worked out.

We're not saying that ions are better when compared to freestyles on a level playing field, they just cost a few hundred less. It depends what you want, affordability, or completely-unnecessary-ripping-ability-that-you'll-never-be-able-to-take-full-advantage-of-without-ramping-software b/c your fingers can't move that fast anyway. I say get the Ion.

Freestyle > older Timmy > Ion

All of them are good markers though.

I own a classic intimidator and it's great. It'd be cheaper than a newer version Freestyle, but the Freestyle is a bit more unique.

Well I have a lot of money from playing online poker (partypoker, pokerroom, etc), been amking 3000+ a week for the last 2 months. So I can splurge and buy something nicer, but really hhoping to buy a wrx soon and dont want to spend to much ona gun if i get a new car. If i was to splurge i think id go viking.

dont get an ion, #1 everyone has them #2 ive seen alot of them break and the inside looks like an old transistor radio, so go with the timmy or freestyle, thats my opinion, and ill take my shocker sft over a ion any day =)

A buddy of mine from Jax is selling a bunch of team guns (freestyles) for $400 with HE. Go to awolpaintball.com and check out the B/S/T forum.

Ion. I was talking to the Jax Warriors guys on saturday they say the Freestyle is fast, but super inefficient. That's why they switched to all Intimidators.

id go with an ion personally just because there are going to be so many cool gizmos coming out for them since they are so popular + they are cheaper. And seriously, what do the other guns give you that the ion doesnt in a tourney setting? (besides good looks lol)

old timmy would be my 2nd choice.

I love my Ion, but old Intimidator or older Angel would be my next choice. A Z series Intimidator.
