Well, I checked the manual, and look at cingular.com, but I can't figgure out for the life of me how to transfer music clips from my hard drive to my cell phone. The phone is a Motorola V551. I know you can do it, I just don't know how.

Thanks for any help.

Only cost is the time it takes to dl it to your phone. I usually do 15-20 second clips of songs and it only takes a minute or so. I checked my bill and it costs almost nothing. Definitely the best. I got like 7 ringtones on my cell right now all high quality ones. My motorola phone plays songs really well compared to others.

Convert your song file to .wav format. Use WSC-MA2 to convert .wav to .mmf. Then move the .mmf file to your phone either by uploading it to a WAP and downloading or using a transfer cable. .mmf is the file extension of the "real music" ringtones.

How much is almost nothing?
Probaly depends on if you have internet for free and if it cost $ to download.

You could always drive on down to radio shack and ask them for Motorola Phone Tools with data cable and use that to upload any song you want and for FREE well to upload but to buy it is I think around 45 but it would save you from all the charges that may be charged.

Or you can go to http://freeringer.net and pay the one time fee of 8 and use the tools they supply and crop/edit your song up to 30 sec not over 500kb and use their service to upload.
