We just got back from our first tourney playing with pumps as TPA(Tactical Pog Assault.. hell yes)... A lot of the refs didn't think we were serious... but oh well... We placed 4th overall, but did terrible in the finals (we went 1 and 5) because of one of our players was taken out for sandbagging... Even though there were two open open teams playing (they were rookie and were gonna play in the open class, but there was none, so they let them play with us if they "played easy"). Anyways the kid in yellow got pulled, and we had to replace him with my little brother, who had never played airball before... The fields were so small that we decided to play 1 semi though, so we didn't all get laned OTB...

Enjoy the pics. And later I'll put up a vid... BTW, I'm the one in the red/black Dye stuff...

Tons more pics here: http://photobucket.com/albums/v451/E-Bum/ but I don't want to post them so as to not use all of AO's bandwith... Hopefully we'll have a vid up shortly..

Ok I don't know the lingo. What is sandbagging? Also what are you shooting in the first pic. Is that an angel. I can't tell.

The kid in the red is shooting an Angel. That's not me. Sandbagging is playing a level lower than you're supposed to...

Taken from C-Town on PBN
Sandbagging was part of the game a long time ago when paintball was played primarily in the woods. Players prepared bags of sand just in case of sudden flash flood. This was necessary so that referees wouldn't catch you trying to wash off a hit in the flood.

Recently, sandbagging was deemed illegal because players started throwing the sand bags at one another when they did run-throughs, knocking their opponent out, with girly limp wristed action I might add, before they proceeded to bonus ball them like 3 or 4 times. The refs got sick of the limp wristed throwing and said that if players weren't going to throw right, they would have to make it illegal. So endeth the days of sandbagging.

I'll bet the 2 phantoms did more damage than the guy with the angel did ball for ball. But really, us pumpers are lethal, I bet the angel was mostly used to keep heads down and keep the phantoms from getting bunkerd.

I thought they were using 3 pumps the whole time until the finals? I guess not.

Cool to see other people playing pumps in bunkerball. If you want to see some cool videos check out Team Blowfish (http://www.blowfishpaintball.com) The played at Huntington Beach 05 and came in 53 out of 62 teams...not too bad for 7 man team....although they played with 2 semi's [back guys] the rest of the team played with rock and cock Carter Buzzards [stock class] Check out the media area they have videos of two of the games that they played. One of them includes a run by in the snake by one of the pumpers on another guy! :headbang:

Still out there playing pump...

We used the Angel for firepower to cover the Phantoms. Once we get a little more experience, we'll go all pump, but we were playing against a couple rookie teams too, so we needed firepower.

The Blowfish were what got us to start playing pump a year ago.. Can't get enough of their vids...
