my only complaint about the devil mag is the insisting of using level 7. more efficient yes, but mags chopping problem wasnt due to mis fed balls, it was due to excruciatingly high bolt speed. Putting level 7 in a devil mag, is just asking for more ball breaks, especially with how brittle paint is getting now a days.

other wise, despite crappy efficiency, the devil mag is great. mags in general are gashogs

i have one on order...been waiting about 2 months...not too bad...it should be pretty rippable...as for the level 7...theres eyes. cost quite a pretty penny and you have to pay up front...meaning once you pay its by by mag for a while....ill be making a video of all the fiering modes as soon as mine gets here.

You do that I want to see another vid. And then we can believe the hype. I personally would not get one b/c its still a mag and they are major gas hogs.

they are very bad when it comes to air. i had a mag and they sucked when it comes to being efficient, they also sucked at a few other things but im not going to bring it up b/c then ppl will start crying again.

I wonder if you just have to use the lvl 7 bolt.
Didn's some other companys like ANS make the Phases II bolt for the mag?
Wasn't that a upgrade over the lvl 7 bolt?
Perhaps some "other" people could make a new mag bolt for the Devil mag type of operation.
Heck if you have a X-Mag or a E-Mag with eyes you dont need the lvl 10 bolt correct??

Something to think about.

Devil mags are nice, but overpriced IMO. It does have the predator board which has many diff firing modes though, and BB eyes.

I just feel it would be better to spend my 900+ bucks on a DM4 or something. That is why I feel its overpriced.

However, they are a rare gun, and not many have them. If that is your thing, then go for it. Its a nice gun.

High bolt speed, What?? You got it right the first time.[miss feeds]
I can and have shot level 7 all day, week, month long on Classic, RT and EMag with out a CHOP. Its all in the finger and the feed

Wow Personally I have never thought mags had "bad" efficiency. Average yes but not bad. BD ever tried a brick shocker?? I had a 2000 & was lucky to get 450 balls off a 68/3000. Now thats "bad". Loved the gun but that was sucky air usage.

Agreed, when I had my first classic mag, all my chopping problems went away when I added a warp feed/intelliframe/gen 1 superbolt (still level 7) to it. I believe it was mainly the warp, but I did them all at once, so I can't say with absolute certainty.

And for steel soul, the ans bolt is a p.o.s., they wear quickly and are no better than a stock bolt. Also level 7 vs. level 10 is much more than simply just the bolt, changing the bolt without changing other parts will still be a level 7.

diablo/tmc/dm3 matrix is the worst efficiency ive ever seen, with an 88/45 if you walk about 15 or so you can see the needle moving as you fire, now thats bad

but an HE bolt can alleviate that. How can mag efficiency be allevieated. Im not saying its the worst efficiency of any paintball gun, I just dont like getting my tank refilled when the gauge says 1000psi left.

not that i'm bragging about my devilmag  but i've shot 3 cases through mine and no breaks. the eyes do away with any chop problem. my wife was at wal-mart the other day and thought of my new devil and bought me 2 200 round containers of scorch paint. and we all know how good wal-mart paints gonna be, right? all 400 shot. no breaks. :shooting: i don't need no stinkin' lvl10.

actually, scorcth is not all that bad. I think its the best balls that walmart sells. They are small bore though. I shoot them through my viking and they work great. They can be a bit brittle depending on how fresh they are though.

if mags have average air effiency, what tank size do you suggest at 3000psi ? I was thinking of getting a 68/3000.

yead definately. You can get around 600-700 shots of a 68/3000 if you are lucky. With a full 68/45, you get get around 1000 or so

I can't get a 4500psi fill, I will refill from a scuba so I should get a 72ci or what...

maybe just buy a crossfire 68/3000 and save up about 50 bucks or so later on down the road and pick up a 45/3000 as a backup tank

Here are pictures of a few devil mags and what the frame looks like
http://devilsden.tv/DM-pics.htm

The 90 degree frames are the frames you can buy form GA/chris and the 45 degree frames are hyper frames with predator boards in them.I believe you can still get hyperframes from centerflag if you call and you can get them used.

magman007, you are a boob. Mags are not gas hogs. They have a moderate efficiency. They are in no way gas hogs.

Shoe Box Shocker = Gas Hog
You don't need a 40oz. CO2 tank to last a game with a Mag.
