View Full Version : Super Glue + Eyes = Unpleasantness

I just sprayed super glue all in my eyes. I was gluing a cracked piece of wood back together, sqeezed it to close it up. The piece snapped back into place and super glue sprayed out on my face and eyes.

Lucky for me the moment I did it I thought to instantly reopen my eyes. My lids were already slightly tacked together. I went to the sink and flushed my eyes with water until the chemical burn went away. Now it feels like I have about 10 little rough spots in my left eye and one in my right. Kinda like a bunch of sawdust in my eye. Its REALLY awesome!

yeaa, would of been kinda funny though if your eye lids had gotten glued down.

Man that situation had potential to be amazing. Too bad you rinsed it out in time. The only rival in that category would be in American Pie 2 I believe when Jim super glued his hand to his weiner and crawled out across the roof.

it would have been funnier if it glued your eyes shut and you tried to come here and post about it if you didn't know where all the keys were located by heart.

seriously the best way to remedy this is to take a spoon and start scraping the clump of dried glue from the back of your eyeball... its that thing that feels like a cord.

use a spork if you can.

Little bit of fingernail polish remover in the eye should do the trick. Flush for about 15 minutes, gets it right off. Better yet, just use fingernail polish.

I stuck a tooth pick in my eye once. It was one of those nifty sword ones too.

It was only the corner of my eye though, not the actual eye-ball.

I suggest using more super glue to make the entire eyeball rough... even it up, it'l feel AWESOME! or you could just douse your eye in acetone, that'd work too.
