I'd say Palmer, but that isn't exactly 'cheap' as far as seconday regs go.

The best regs are AKA, but they dont qualify as relativly cheap, and theyre massive overkill for a spyder. I had a PMI reg on my old spyder, they were only $30. I have no clue if they make them anymore though.

also for a aka reg, www.dbnpaintball.com... 75 shipped for a sidewinder.

As for a 'cheap' reg, your best bet would probably checking ebay or the BST forum here, I saw yesterday a couple of new Sidewinders going for 60.

As for quality Regs in no particular order:

aka 2 liter
aka sidewinder
palmer stabilizer
CP
ANS Gen-x
Air America

For your spyder, you will need a high pressure/high flowing regulator which will hand CO2 very well. I would recommend the Palmer Stabilizer as they have been proven to work well with CO2. I'm sure all the others do well also, but I have not used them with CO2.

Best for the cash is going to be a bob long torpedo or CP.

Are you trying to get it LP? Running CO2 or HPA?

If running CO2 then ur gunna need to go palmers.

Oh yeah, go here (http://www.ottersccustoms.com) for any and all spyder info, including how to transform it into a cocker or pneumatic:) (lots of fun, ACCURATE articles)

AirSoldier (HaveBlue) sells only high quality regs and his prices are very competative.

Why not? I've had series of regs on my Spyder (first gun) since 1994 and they seriously improve the consistancy.

Aye, definitely put a reg on it.

Just remembered another popular reg for spyders is the gladiator, used to be really expensive tho, it might have gone down in price its a really old reg.

They were (and still are) made by MacDev. They've updated them at least once if not more. Still a nice little reg but needs very clean air or else it needs to be cleaned out frequently.

i know this kid. he has the ACS bolt, ESP frame, t board, t board eyes, egg2, CP barrel, he's still running c02 but he might be buying one of my hpa tanks. its a spimmy.......

TheTramp

It's not a Spimmy if it doesn't have a ram sleeve/LPR system.

With the t board and ESP frame he will be able to shoot much faster than the stock Spyder Xtra reg will be able to fully recharge. Crazy shootdown.

Just pick up a used old style bl torpedo for like $30-35.

if you get nitro, you dont even really need the reg unless you are running LP. The reg on the tank itself will make it more consistent.

Id say for a spyder, just get a preset crossfire, and ditch the reg idea.

If you stay w/ CO2, palmer stab is the way to go.

No, bro - it's not a spimmy. It's a spyder. Spimmies operate like Timmies.

As for regs - getting a regulator now is a fine idea. Just make sure to buy a high quality one. Remember, you can always put it on your next marker.

Read the break in procedure for that reg, involving several cases of paint.. and then go.. ehh I don't think so

I had an Evil Det on my Omen. I HATED it. I'm using an AIM reg now and love it.
