I'm thinking about buying an xbox. I need to know, is there a direct connecter available for cable connections. I have an older tv and there is no yellow/red/white cable port. I know I can buy a power converter or whatever it's called. It would be easier if I could just buy a new cable for $20 than a power converter for $30.

Circuit City has RF modulators (the convertor thingy) for twenty dollars - likely less than what a special cable would cost you, and a lot easier to find. Look for them in the TV department.

They're not releasing it, they're just showing it off. It'll be probobly quite a bit before it goes into produstion.

There are direct cable convertors like the one you need, just check any decent electronics store that carries Xbox stuff. My off-topic advice would be to buy it used for cheap since it won't be worth squat when the 360 comes out within the next year.

You should check to see if you can run it through your VCR or something. I busted the coax connector off the back of my TV and now I have to run it through the VCR to watch cable.

If you have a VCR on that tv, you may be able to connect the Xbox that way.

Some VCR's have RCA inputs (Red, white, yellow cable) and output the signal on coax.
