If there would happen to be a mix between the two, I'd go with it... But I like #1 personally.

I agree there needs to be a mix. I think youd have a sweet rail if ya used Rail 1 and slanted the front and back of the rail like you did with #2.

that 3rd one looks good, just make sure you use a ball end mill for the "indention" will look much better than a standard flat bottom one.

i'm personally not crazy about either of them.

i don't want to be misinterpreted as putting you down. i think that it is great that people are actually modifying their own markers in more significant ways than just switching mass produced "custom" parts and adding CF decals.

but i think that you should do a couple more drawings and play with more design ideas, try to incorporate some functional features if that's what you're into, or maybe try to take out some of the extra meat on the inside while you're at it.

as an art student i learned to make many many drawings before even thinking about fabrication just to squeeze every possible idea out of my head before i proceeded.

i recently finished work on my own rail just last month. i wish i could show it to you but i don't have a digital camera.

you should do some more drawings and post them so that we can give you some feedback and maybe help you to make something really beautiful.

anyway, good luck.

good point and i have been thinking about doing some more designs just to see what i can come up with more of my style and dont worry about the meat cause i do plan on ULE ing them

I like that one a lot except the diff things on the rail dont flow (the teardop things, the ide diagonal line, and the pill shaped things). Itd be cool if ya kept the 3 tear drop things and behind those go to 2 tear drops, and then maybe to one near the back of the rail. Or, just get rid or the diagonal line thing.

like this?

Yeah, somethin along those lines. If ya make the tear drops go from like long for the first 3, medium length for the middle ones, and small for the last one so the tear drops go the full length of the rail without the large space between the 3 sets.

I think thatd be a sweet lookin rail when its all done.

well looking at it i just dont think the tear drops would be deep enough to really take off more weight so i'm really going with#2 cause it'll be lighter and i can see function and fashion there
