What air systems are people using on the tac one???

THere is a system for sale here in Australia with what looks like no rails or drops and no line..macro or braided.

What presets are people using, what pressure are you running it at for best reults, and how are you mounting your tanks...

Wile i'm here i'll also ask what hoopers you are using and how they balance on the tac...

I like my air like I like my women: compressed in a tank.

Welcome to the forum CAPTINSANE. Please ignore Target Practice.

The Tac-One is an automag just like the rest. They require around 800psi input pressure to work at there best, but of coarse the more pressure you give it the more bounce you get out of an RT type valve so you can put 850psi or a little more, but I'd say stick with a normal highpressure output tank that puts out about 800psi which most do. Getting an adjustible tank might be the best way to go. Something like the AGD Flatline tank or something like that.

As for a hopper it would depend on what version of the Tac-One you are asking about. There is the Mechanical version or the Emag version. Either way you'll want a fast hopper to keep up with it. I use a Halo on my automag, but they are pretty heavy and expensive. A cheap alternative to the Halo or Egg would be something from the ricochet line of hoppers. The new 2kx looks pretty nice and fast. There is also the apatche that is just as fast as most eggs and has more of a sleeker look. Here are some pictures:

Both are much cheaper then an Egg or Halo and feed fast enough for all mech automags. Then of coarse there is the Longbow:

Hope that helps. Again welcome to the forum Aussy member.

THANKS FOR YOUR RESPOSE MATE.

I was just lookig at a reloader B or something. The set up is a mech mag with intelliframe. and thinking of adding a centerflag hyperframe and electro it later on down the track. I dunno yet... i need the money first. Oh well...Uni student budgets suck!

THe longbow looks increadibly cumbersome and useless. I normally play aggressive 'midfield' in rec games anyway. Plus...how bloody long would that tube take to reload anyway!!!!!, plus you can't switch shoulders if your remote system is on that short a line. It looks and sounds cool, but i think its a waste.

If your looking at takns you need a high pressuer one for the mags it will not work under about 600psi. as for plumbing that all up to you some guys like macro-line and other like the steel lines. if you go steel you cn pick up some shrink wrap and cover it an black and it looks good on a black gun. I have a X-valve and intila frame and at the moment my Halo TSA wotks great i used a reloader A for over a year and had no problem

I have a Tac one that I use for Night play mostly. I have an Air America Armogeddon slung off of a modified Lapco drop. I use an EggII for the hopper. This set up works well for me cuz it tucks in tight and when I put the Night Vision on it, the scope is right at the goggles. The pressure on the reg is set for about 925 psi. This allows me to RT very easy, but I can get singles out with no trouble. This set up is ideal for a night vision rig. If you use the night vision right, you dont need high rates of fire, but its there if you do need it.
