I just got a used x valve a couple days ago. I cleaned out the input where the airlines go, then hooked it up in my micromag. Gassed her up and she shot great. I put the ULT in it and it shot even better with 7 shims I think. Then I gassed it up today and it wouldn't shoot and leaked out the barrel. I upped the velocity and that didn't help. I put the stock on/off back in and it would fire but took a second to recharge making a strange psshht sound as it charged up (while leaking less). Any help is appreciated.

I forgot the specs.

lv.10:
middle red spring
2 shims
#3 carrier

ult:
7 shims

tank output:
800 psi

I am assuming that you oiled it, checked all orings, and fiddled with combinations of shims?

I tuned the lv.10 first, then put the ult in and added shims till I liked the feel. So I've tried shim amounts of 4 to 8 in the ult. But I have not tried 0 to 3 shims in ULT. Yes I oiled with KC.

pretty please?

I'm trying to get it to work with the just the stock on/off. I went through checking all the parts (using BlackVCG's guide for new RT owners) and oiling all necessary parts. Still no luck.

Sounds like the L10 carrier is too tight. Try going one larger and see if the bolt stops sticking. You may need to add another shim in the L10 to get the bolt to reset. Let us know. ;)

tunaman: I went up to the next size carrier and it leaked a little but went away after firing it some. So now my only problem is that when I try to fire somewhat fast the gun doesn't seem to keep up. It's better with the 3.5 carrier, but I could shoot my classic faster than this. What's up with the slow charging?

oh yeah! Because I'm using a micromag, could it be that the .750 on/off pin is too long?
