Finally started my first scenario marker.

So I've wanted a Scenario marker for a few years now. Well today I got a hair up my arse and decided to turn my tippman 68 carbine into my first one. Keep in mind it is not finished and a few things are missing. I am making everything instead of spending the money on a gun that won't get used a whole lot, plus I enjoy making my own parts. Take a look, let me know what you think.

tac ones are nice, but I didn't wanna spend any money on my scenario marker, because It won't get used very often, and I've got a spyder mag too :D

Master alexander, you don't need to have machine shop & be in bed w/ the local metal warehouse to do this type of thing. Junkyards/scrap piles & dremels do a wonderful job, they just take good planning/layout & the time spent to do it right.

I agree ... I happen to have access to a couple of machine shops and I grew up in a machinist family, but at 2am when I can't sleep I make due. It's amazing what you can do with simple hand tools, especially files. My father is a retired old school machinist and he taught me a few tricks, and sometimes it's just easier to put something in a vise and file it down by hand than it is to set it up in a milling machine and program it (c:

If you've ever seen the gunsmiths in Pakistan you know what you can do with hand tools. Those guys make entire firearms from scratch using hand tools, and very good copies too.

Whelll ... actually it's been my experience that CNC makes the easy stuff harder to do, but the hard stuff easy to do as far as on one off parts go. Like cutting a large offset circle in a flat peice of stock. It's easy to do on a CNC milling machine, but it can be a pain to do it with a manual lathe and 4 jaw offset chuck. Your millage may vary (c:

New pictures are posted in the original thread. Didn't get a whole lot done today, but got my grooves milled in the clip, made a new rear plug(wich is a velocity adjuster now too, and made the stock. Will be making the butt of the stock tomorrow and probably the sight rail too. Of course I'll get more pics.

Also I need some recomendations on color. Should I camo the whole gun, paint it all black or a combination? Any other suggestions are welcome too. Thanx.

New pics up again. Got the butt made, got my sight rail/handle made. Only thing left to machine is the dovetail on top of the handle for a red dot scope or something. The rest is all finishing, rounding the edges, getting new screw for the clip and then painting it all up.
