Okay I decided not to do the custom mag. Now I have once again, 2 options.. actually 3 but one doesn't seem as worthy.

1. Black to Red Dust System X NME tuned by Greg from Avalanche... LNIB - $700 shipped
2. Black 05 Angel Speed, not sure what ups but possible an Evolve kit and Pipe barrel... LNIB - $920 Shipped
3. Blue/White Acid Washed 2003 AKA Excalibur, no eyes, Pandora board. Great shape... - $790 Shipped

What to do? I think it's between the Angel and Excal but... the NME price is hard to say no to.

GO for the 05 speed.
It has eyes, unlike the excal.
Its faster than the excal.(Due to the excal being closed bolt)
It probaly ligher(just guessing)

With the evolve kit the speed will have minimal kick too. So yeah, 05 speed all the way. Then sell the pipe kit and get like a CP 2-piece or a UL with a big bore.

5peed all the way. Once you shoot them with a properly tuned trigger there's no going back.

but in case you don't, go for the 05 speed.

all three of those suck for the price....

FYI: do some homework on your perspective guns, looks like the excal is going to need eyes, milling and covers. not even sure if you can get the pre-2k4 covers anymore.

Let me give you some real advice on what are killer deals right now so we can avoid another one of these bandwidth killing threads.

-B2k4 w/ pds- there are about 5 on ebay buy it now from 290-350, not Like new, BUT BRAND NEW. Buy one for any of those prices, its a killer gun and with alittle trigger work is just as fast as any of those guns

- Angel LED, LCD- Find one with a good battery and charger for less than 400. The only thing that has changed in WDP is the marketing. The "outdated" guns are just as good as the new WDP's

-Classic, GZ, Z timmies- around 400ish in the high end. I have thought about picking one up just to mess with. These are just as fast as the new timmies.

You should not have to pay anymore than 4-500 for a tourney ready setup. If you pay anymore than 500 for a gun it better be something you really love and your favorite color.

sorry I don't want an old gun. fyi I have shot and used a B2K and it was less than impressive, I don't want a heavy classic angel.. and I've said before I don't want a timmy. This is a VS thread. I'm not looking for a 3-400 buck budget pistol.

-The b2k you shot was either the older version or one that was in poor repair
-a "classic" angel is going to wiegh the same if not less than the excal, I know becuase I have owned them both
- Feel free to piss your money away on something that costs more, however you will soon realize that your arrgoance will get you very little more than a gun that costs twice as much, without any added value for the dollar.

Budget pistol, thats classic. How many guys have whiped your butt with a budget pistol?

This is a VS thread.

I know and like I said all of those choices suck.

i still would go for another marker, the excal, yeah, nice, but, i wouldnt shoot a blind anything for a primary marker, the speed, gonna have rollback issuse unless you use an egg (or at least my teammates 05 speed, and the others A4 Fly both had rollback problems leading to occasional chops) and the NME, no, just no.
Find an aced viking/excal, a trix (proto perhaps), or a real timmy.

its fairly easy to fix the rollback issue , adjust your ram or buy a jam bolt with the new roll back thingy.

Rollback are just for people that can't adjust their ram... 05 all the way.

matrix, any incarnation of them, but matrix. The protos are looking very attractive at their new price.... it easily blows all the other markers listed out of the water

if I got the Excal I would send it to DC for eyes, tune up, milling and anno

if I got the Speed I would for sure stick the jam bolt in

i understand Martix's are super good guns but they just don't appeal to me. I can't shoot something I find ugly as sin.

I have never seen a DC excal, got a pic?

MadPSIence

nope. but they'll do any milling or anno job you want as well as install eyes, boards etc.. or just tune it for you.

look up their site, destructive customs.

Go for the NME!

Our team loves ours, they are great guns, and come with everything you would need. Super efficient, as I can get a full case off of a full 68/4500 fill.

If you have to get one of these on this list (they all suck for the pirce), I';d get the Excal. Send it to DC and have them look over it, set the regs, and mill it for eyes. Then buy Tadao when it comes out.

MadPSIence

well there's a new Excal now... replace the above with an 04 black Excal, pandora, eyes, jmj covers, hump noids, totally clean

Right now, DC doesn't have a milling pattern for Excal's -- just Vikings. They can do the eye install but they definitely don't have pre-2k3 eye covers in stock anymore.

I'd give Alan a shout before you decide on the Excal. info@destructivecustoms.com
