So I get an email today from someone i sold a marker to on ebay. The sale of the marker was back in January (jan 24th) and he left me feedback in March.

The marker was sold to someone in germany, and because of german laws they requested that I send the marker to a friend in the military. After asking some people on AO if they have done that before, they said it was ok so I sold him the marker.

Then today I get this email.

"Hi my friend,

I was on holiday for a long time that I couldnīt write you. I am a little bit disappointed about the mag, itīs not working.
You wrote that I got an Lx10 inside, but there is no Lv10 inside!!!!!!!
The ULE Trigger has some strange O-rings inside, that it doesnīt work.
The drop forward (I was really looking forward to) is missing!
The Powerhose isnīt inside the package!
What went wrong with it????? Did you forget to send the stuff?

You wrote:
"Black X-valve with LX (have all spair shims and spacers that came with LX, needs fine tuning)
ULT Trigger: This gun flys when you get on the trigger, trigger pull is 15oz's"
AND
"Cat-5 adjustable drop: Place that bottle right where you need it
Brand new (never used) Sear and pin, new macro line and fittings. "

I am absolutely dissapointed and I am hoping that you write me an email why the deal was like this.
I canīt get the gun working, because of all the things I wrote.

For 430 Dollar it is much more too expensive!!! By the way the missing LV10 costs about 200 Dollar in germany!
Greetings
Björn"

He says the drop is missing, that the marker did not come with a level 10, and that the micro line and extra parts baggy was missing. It has been 4 months since I sold him the marker and I am at a loss of what to do.

How am i suppost to know that his friend did not open the package, mess with the gun, and then send it to him.

I made sure that everything was in good working order prior to me shipping to him. I oiled the marker heavly with KC lube so as not to allow the o-rings to dry out (and i emailed him that I was doing it).

I honestly have no idea what to do, AO please help me :(

There really isnt much you can do. Tell him that a 4 month vacation sounds very unlikely and if he had these problems he probably should have contacted you earlier. Afterall, he left feedback in march so apparently he was happy with it at one point in time. It sounds like a scam to me. Tell him that if those parts really are missing, then he should have a little talk with mr. military man.

Did you ship it to Germany? Did you use the US Mail to ship it? I would NEVER used the US Mail to ship anything to Europe again. The 3rd party carrier they use now for European delivery are a bunch of thieves. I had one package that was in limbo for months, then opened, then they tried to shake down my cousin in Lisbon for $200 in "special handling fees" and then when he refused they sent it back to me and tried to shake me down. If I didn't pay up they would have kept the package. There is now a class action lawsuit being planned against them.

Anyways, the first thing to do is to get all the facts. There is a good chance the package was *just* delivered for one, and that "customs" officials opened the package too.

did you insure it?

if so, tell him to contact the people that sent it.

and yes, 4 months is a while, if he did leave you feedback, it is now his, not yours, if he didnt state it in the feedback then he could be lying, and he cant proove it.

well i would tell him that if he hadnt waited so long then you could help him out but since he waited forever then it seems kinda of odd since you dont know the guy you dont know if hes lieing or not it could be the truth or it might not be.I think i would let him know that im sorry for whats happened but that you did ship it with everything.Maybe you could offer to send him a lvl10 (his expense) if its any cheaper for him to get it from the U.S..possibility.

Also do you happen to know how much the package weighed when you shipped it?The stuff left out might not be that heavy but hey you never know maybe he could package it all up and weigh(t?) it.I dont just thinking to myself...

Not much you can do i mean as long as you know that you did indeed ship it.

I dotn think it's your obbligation to do anything about it.Maybe if you would have been informed sooner.

good luck with that.

Hmm i didnt take the feedback thing into consideration...yea he left feedback so apperntly he got it and was satisfied..was it good feedback whats did he say?

Honestly because its 4 months ago I no longer have the reciepts. I threw them out after he emailed me and said his friend received the package.

I did not ship the marker directly to germany because of german law. I shipped the packaged to his friend in the military, and then that friend shipped it to him.

I don't like it when people are unhappy with me for a deal, but honestly it has been so long I have no idea what to do. He is claiming that the bolt in the marker is not a level 10, but rather a standard bolt, and I know for a fact that it was a level 10 because that was the only bolt I had for the marker.

he says he is going to take pictures and email them to me....I guess i'll just wait and see what he sends me.

It was insured, but the package was delivered to his friend in the military, so after that its out of my control.

You know how I package stuff, I sent you the ASA that I made for you.

ask you friend some question and go from there.

Honestly its been four months and if he left you feedback he was obviously pleased at one time.
I say forget about it and move on
there isnt anything he can do about it.

Exactly. Sounds like he just wants to scam for $$$ now.

Just have to let them deal with the hard feelings.

i emailed him back, he is going to talk to his friend, he is hoping his friend forgot to send him some stuff...

If the friend says he "sent everything" I am going to ask the guy what he wants me to do because I know for a fact I sent everything...I'm excessive compulsive when it comes to selling stuff to people and I triple check all my boxs prior to sending anything.

serouisly there is really nothing him or you can do about it. Four months is an extremly long time for someone to make a claim serouisly theres nothing he can do to you he left u a positive feedback obivoisly it went ok and he probbly screwed with the gun and messed it up and now he wants to get parts from you.

Sending stuff via USPS can take over 4 weeks if you choose the slowest way by boat. His friend could have sat on it for a while too but out of curiousity where was his friend that you shipped it too? Once his friend got the package it should have been checked out by him, if he did get everything and it sat around it could have been taken by someone else when the gun was at that third parties place. I'd explain to him that you did send everything and give him a link to this thread to show your serious about not knowing what to do.

His friend in the military FPO (I think thats what its called) was located in new york. It did take a little bit of time to get to the FPO because of it being the military (the post lady told me it could take several weeks and we cannot track military packages). But the person in germany did email me and said his friend recieved the package.

I honestly think something happened between his friend and him.

Maybe he doesnt know what the lvl10 is....its a possibility.Or maybe he played with the gun or somethign and didnt chop so he figured the level 10 was in it and workign and recently he played and it chopped or soemthing.

Well for someone to steal it they would have to know what they were looking at/for and not like the lvl10 is external.(im assuming it was in the gun?)

Ask him if his friend plays or knows anything about paintball.

But i know how you fell you wanna help him out casue you feel like he was wronged but in situations like these it best to just leave things alone and tell them theres nothing you can do becasue you know you fullfilled your end of the deal.

I say ignore his emails. Hes jerkin you around. The guns has been sold 4 months ago.

Theres nothing that can be done from germany that I know of. Tuff luck, but you shouldnt sell overseas.

Forget him.

First, I doubt that somebody working for the German postal system would replace a Level X bolt with something else. Steal the whole marker? Maybe. Replace parts? Extremely unlikely.

Second, your customer chose his friends. He must now live with the consequences.

Third, perhaps if Germans did not have such idiotic laws, these kind of arrangements would not need to be made. It's not fault that your customer lives lives in a socialist country with a major sense of guilt. So sad, too bad.
