The newest innovation in paintball technology since the pin-valve.

MECH-SUITS!

Yeah, saw this at a5og and thought of many things. The new Tippmann Hellhound. ED-209. Mech Assault. RogueFactor thinks it's Voltron.

But that right there ladies and gentlemen is going to sweep paintball by storm. Just imagine trying to bunker that!

More found at http://www.sakakibara-kikai.co.jp/products/other/LW.htm including videos of it in action.

(and yes, side note: Title of this thread is indeed with reference to Dr. Weird. If you don't know who that is then watch Adult Swim please)

You'd have to leave a little earlier. It gets maybe 5mph. :D

It is awesome, though. If I had the money to burn, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. And vis-mod it to look like a Madcat.

Yes, I totally agree. It was shaking as if if going to fall right on it's side. Not to mention the guns take an hour to reload. I thought the gun on the right side (left for us) was goint to be like a gatling gun like in Predator.

Oh well, pretty cool concept though.

I would be tempted to tackle that thing.

Granted having one of those in a urban field would be cool. Keep the one gun as a cannon for anti-tank purposes, but put a e-mag in place of the right gun to take out troops.

think of it froma military point. this is the beging of mech worriors. for example, back in the day it was a muskey then some 150 yrs later we now got full auto machine guns. this is just a start.

i'll think of it from an anime standpoint. Then ill remember that this thing was designed by asians.
then ill dismiss it as a POS fantasy toy.

Let me know when they get one remote controll so no one actually has to play. Just sit in a chair and use a joystick. Hell theres always pb video games, an equallu useless thing must be next on the field! :)

SWEET!!!!!! just think of that in urban fields or in scenario that would be awsome if it shot paintballs *still had the cannon to take out tanks or clear out buildings then had like 2 tippmann gatling guns on the other arm :shooting:  :wow: :shooting: :shooting: :shooting:

No thats just crazy Asians making an oversized POS mech toy. It looks cool but looks very poorly built. It looks like it just rolls it's feet foward, not really walking at all. Show me something on that scale that can do some bipedal walking then I'd be impressed (even though putting wheels and a motor on something is a million times more practical, safe, and cheap).

I'd assume that with enough time and R&D that they can get it working that way.

You have to start somewhere. Currently companies are making animatronic devices for movies and such, or whatever purpose, in shapes of animals. One notibally I remember seeing was an ostrich. They had it with wires for when it fell down, but it could run in circles for a while without the need of the support.

They are getting there, it'll just be a matter of time.

Again, just consider this a first step. Within the last 20 years even we've seen developement of electronically controlled prostetic limbs, there's a leg that can jump around and get pushed and maintain its balance (I know, I saw it on NOVA :D ). Animatronics have gotten better, hell HONDA has a set of robots that can do all kinds of stuff, slowly granted, including play soccer (never mind that they look like moon-men).

The modern mobile artillery piece wasn't invented overnight and neither was the Saturn V rocket.
