wow, someone actually made a sexy ion. i'm impressed.

they still need a new frame.

i think that SP should give the ion what is known in the automotive industry as a mid-cycle update. by that i mean that the 06 (or sooner) model should have some major cosmetic changes.

still, this is pretty nice. any idea who makes it/what it costs?

[edit] ha, beat me to it.

I talked to the Strange boys at thier bus at the Orlando Open, body was still being milled but they were taking preorders. I'm getting one in black soon.

I think smart parts should make like a, normal ion that we buy now for 280, and an Ion "pro, or "extreme" or something. And sell it for about 500 with a new body, new trigger, and feedneck, and something done to the damn buttons you have to press to get to every mode..

I think you made a mistake… you posted a Mag.

Oooops, my bad… ;)

Seriously though, I like clean uncluttered looks. I think this is a step in the right direction.

so the body only allows you to access the back two orings on the gun by removing the swivel donut? You still wont be able to unscrew the whole firing chamber to lube the other parts like the bolt stop orings, etc?

Looks nice though.

Sharp looking body! Would definitely look cool in gloss black. Not a bad price either @ $150.

a PL Ion would be nice, but if you want to spend up to 500 just buy the base model Ion and do what I did. customize it the way you want to. the Element body with 90*frame should be out in a week or so. I think im going to go with that one. think of this body, dust black with the inner tube annoed red along with a red trigger. ~sexy~

You unscrew the endcap, then use the stock velocity wrench to undo the screw, then the whole bolt assembly just slides out for cleaning/lubing.

It looks nice. But the ION cut out doesn't fit.
