Or at least, they authorized Paintballkingdom to slash them. Standard borgs are now $600(!) and sonics are $800. I think the stock ones used to be above $800. Sucks for all the people that bought one, especially recently, but its rare that you see prices go DOWN on paintball equipment, especially by more than 25%.

For $600, a borg is a steal. I had one, and once you dump the stock trigger, which is crap, its an outstanding marker. Plus, they have a tadao board coming very soon. $600 borg, toss on a clamping neck, switch out trigger, add in tadao, and you have an awesome marker for under $800.

that probably makes the Borg much more competative with the Proto, which just dropped in price as well

I personally thing that at $600, the borg is a steal. Mine was a very handy and tidy gun. Its extremely quiet, worked great for me, and is very efficient.

But the stock trigger SUCKS. I would have to recommend an aftermarket trigger and a tadao board, but even with those, its still $750. And in that setup, it will be as fast as anything out there, get close to 1900 shots on a 68/45, and be very reliable.

Damnit, this isn't helping me get one any sooner. I need to get my mom to loan me 300 and get this kid to pay me, and I can buy a sonic. But by wednesday they will probably be sold out thou.

Also, the price is going back up once the site selling them gets rid of thier current stock. Borg owners shouldn't be too worried about their resale, unless macdev keeps this new price. I mean, can't expect a marker to never drop in value.

Hot damn! I bought a Cyborg once already and it turned out to be stolen so I had to get rid of it. Now I can get one even cheaper

U think the slash in prices is because there might be another more milled and decked out Borg on the way? or being small and Austrailian based, they just didnt make enough money on them, and cutting their losses.?

Wow, now the only thing to worry about is Proto or Cyborg?

no, i think that the ion showed the world that it doesn't cost the manu $1000 to make a gun with electronics ;P

Maybe, but I think it showed the world that it takes $500+ to get a QUALITY electronic gun, but that is not the point.

Maybe it's just cause everyone who wanted to buy one bought one? And there wasn't enough demand anymore?

Well, wouldn't that be true of every gun? I suspect that macdev might have changed its business model from high markup/low volume to low markup/high volume.

Only PBK is allowed to sell them at those prices, and its not going to last much longer. Sonics will be gone by the end of the week for sure. Reg. borgs will be around longer thou since there are more of them.
