Z-grip preorders

It was mentioned in Tom's thread about the Z-grip production run that there should be a thread for pre-ordering to let AGD know ballpark how many intella-Z's there are demand for. In the poll there is an option for if you KNOW that you will be pre-ordering a Z-grip come hell or high water, pardon the expression, or whether you are interested and might be. I, personally, will be pre-ordering one, no matter what.

If i am overstepping my bounds as an AO member and this is an annoyance to Tom, then by all means, please delete this thread.

Rancid1845; if they did fit the Micro E-Mag, they would probably be a manual trigger only, as they have yet to figure out a cost effecitve, or even possible way to make an electro Z-Grip, and from what I can tell, theyre not even trying to design an electro Z-Grip ufortunatly :(

You should shut up about the z-grip guys.... Tom's already under enough stress. If you want some good z-grips then lay off of the z-grips and give tom the time to FINISH all the other things he wants to finish. This is something he is doing for us. He can choose to change his mind at any time fyi.

Footemps is exactly correct, there is another thread in here where Tom himself announced that he would eventually be doing another run of Z-grips if he got enough preorders. If you search for it then it shouldn't be hard to find. In that thread there are details on when and how much the Z-grips will be. I made this thread to give an idea of how much demand there would be to give Tom a rough idea.

I will recap on what was said in the original thread:
Tom will make another run of Z-grips that will have the intellifeed mounts, a la intelliframe, and will cost approx $125 each, if my memory serves me correctly. They will be available in Nickel and Black (i think?) and Tom will not even begin to consider to worry about thinking about being concerned with attampting to bother himself pestering about it until he is finished with several things he's working on now, among them being (but not limited to)

-Getting superbolt issues resolved
-Getting E-mag Xtreme's released
-Finishing the online store

This is Manufacturer Description: This radical design puts the wrist in proper alignment when holding the marker in a tight shouldered position. Once I get my Minimag (buying a used one. If all goes well, I'll be joining the ranks of Mag owners by next Wendsday) them I'm game.

What works for me the most is the fact that it'll be about a year before they're released. So unless I decide to go LvL 10, it's iZ-grip all the way baby. :D:D

how does this work for a front player? Is it hard to move around? Also I usually use my tank as a stock, will I have to stop doing that, and if I do will I still be able to hold my gun up for most of the time?

It will work fine if you use your tank as a stock, it's just made so you can have it in a really tight shouldered position for a small profile without having to bend your wrist foward.

Oh, and I will probably order one, and I don't even have a mag. :D I just want one because I'll probably get a mag if I sell off some stuff and just in case AGD quits making them like with the last Z grips.

myself having shot one for 2-3 years now.... i love the angle... decreasing the angle would only ruin it in my eyes......

however if a decreased angle would allow TK to make one work on an Emag of some type then i know what i would be buying..... heck i'm lookin at getting a new motorcycle this year and if this were to happen i would hold off a year on getting it to get a Z-Emag <nudge nudge wink wink>

right now.... depending on how much i save up for a down payment and how cheap i feel like being when the time comes..... most likely will be a yamaha vstar 1100 classic....... if i would a bunch of ot and save up more... then maybe a yamaha warrior.... either way everything else i have looked at just didnt fit my idea of an ideal bike..... those 2 when i sit on them fit like a glove..... if i get the vstar then there will be xtras going on right away and will probly be the one i do end up getting... cuz even with the extras it will still come in well under the warrior.....

now for the keep it OT bit......

it all comes down to there being enough interest and people willing to put money where their mouth is when the time comes to do a preorder..... as it will most likely be a one time run.... i know that myself and some others will fight each other to be 1st in line for these.... but again it comes down to the people that are teetering one way or the other......

my suggestion to all that are even considering this..... start putting money aside now... even if only at $5 a week you put aside.... put about $100 aside this way knowing that you may need a little more so that way when the time comes you only need to scrounge a little more up and will have the money ready to go fairly quick so that we can show AGD that for as long as we have waited, when they finally give us the chance to get these... we can flood them with orders (in this case 100 would be a flood though 60-70 may be more realistic) with in 2 weeks of them giving this a go for preorder..... i belive TK said that a min of 50 would be needed before this could be even considered, so if all who said they wanted one gets one.... we will have no problem....

Do they still make the regular z-grip? I'm kinda leery about buying one used, and I don't really think I need the intelli z-grip with my powerfeed mag... how much would it cost, anyways? if it wasn't too much, I MIGHT be able to FORCE myself to use one...:p

Z's are no longer being made and there appears to be no plan to bring them back. AGD has went the route of the Y. http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=70453&highlight=y+or+ygrip Intelli-able but with not as drastic of an angle. Perhaps now this thread can fade away into the recess's of the server!;) :D
