For the freestyle looking one it says that it is an "entry level electronic paintball marker." I doubt that its internals are like the Freestyle. The Angel looking one however....

I don't know TP, I thought WDP played their hand pretty close. I hadn't heard of them liscencing anything before. Could be wrong, of course.

Wow, NEW no drop forward. Just like the pros

I guess all my guns are in style now since I've never used a drop forward. I must have been ahead of my time.

zap takes good gun designes and makes them worse and unreliable

if it's worth reading, why didn't you link? unless you meant "not worth reading".

it's like saying. "something is wrong with ur gear. but don't worry about it."

*edit to below post*
ok, not sure if you meant to leave it out or not. nice to know what you actually meant.

If I helped at all Hawk then Im happy.

Ok well I spoke with Zap today. According to the guy I spoke with, Zap is planning on releasing a FreeStyle clone in approx. 3-4 months. The gun is supposed to have ACE (Im not gonna call it PDS :dodgy: ) and have internals the same (not sure how "same" exactly) as the FS. The price point for the marker he said would be roughly 3 to 400 dollars. This price point was set due to the Ions price of 300 dollars.

The Angel clone he said was dead in the water as were a few other things in the catalog.

It is my opinion that Zap will have a flop at this price range and design but what do I know? Would you buy a gen 1 fs clone for 300 bucks? I wouldnt...

Anyway the guy was very nice on the phone but it still seems sooo slimy to do this. It was funny because the level of uncomfort was palpable when I stated that "the design looked just like a fs and whats with the Angel clone?"

All of this and the guy really didnt seem to know his product line at all and had a lot of trouble locating the online catalog. :dodgy:

Im hoping that word of this thread (or a phone call from ICD) will stop this. Although he claimed that he was "looking at a prototype sitting on his partners desk" it may not be too late for Zap to rethink this move.
