if you go unconsious like that, i dont think you can stand up. have you noticed that if you close your eyes while standing, its easier to lose balance?
and, the paintball gun looked completely different than the pistol thing in the game, wouldn't he have noticed?

also, the point of the whole experiment was to trick the guy into believing he was in the game and then to put him into a real life experiance and see his reation when he thinks it's "just a video game". interesting idea. but it was probably set up. also, it's not that he was passed out. he was more of in a trance or hipnotized.
