should be able to, the inline reg that the proto comes with should be able to tune the pressure down to something that the proto will like.

The only gun that you need to worry about using a HP tank with is the Angel and even with that I'm not sure how inportant it really is. My team mate used a HP tank on an IR3 for two seasons with no ill effects.

Thats cause older angels likethe iR3 can run perfectly fine on HP. The newer ones dont, partly because of the new minireg which cannot handle very high input pressures. Change out the reg for a sidewinder or stabilizer and the newer angels should be able to use a HP tank as well

or so i think.

OK, well there you go. :) I've only read that Angels need LP tanks. I guess it's the newer ones.

a HP tank will work fine on the proto, just adjust the inline reg accordingly.

Dye wouldn't make only a HP tank if it wouldn't work on their markers

i run my dm5 on a trottle that outputs 800 psi. no problems with a high pressure tank and any dye marker

I run 700 lbs out of my max-flo to my proto, simply because I'm to lazy to change springs for lower pressure, and it works fine the way it is so why mess with it.
