umm, its a new-ish kind of tournament format, here is a short rundown-

there are 2 teams, each team has multiple squads, you play matches, which, are a set time limit, and you play as many games in that time limit as possible, each game you win is worth 1 point. There is only 2 minutes in between games, so, you only have time to get off the field, clean off/load up, and jump back on (depending on the # of squads on your team), its very fast, very fun, very aggressive.

It is played on an airball field. There is a big "X" shaped bunker in the middle.

Also, you only get points for a flag hang. No points are awarded for eliminations or first flag grabs. Penalties are given for violations to the rules and there is a penalty box so the violating team will be short a player for the duration of the penalty.

Not entirely true. Yes, you only get points for winning a game, and nothing else, but, you dont necessarily have to hang the flag. Each team has sideline coaches (guys who can scream instructions to players) (well, anyone watching can scream to players, but, teams have designated coaches as well) If the outlook is looking grim for one team (say, its a 3v1 with the 3 guys closing in) or if the other team is just taking to long to hang the flag (say, there ahead in points, so, they decide to try and run down the clock by wasting time) A teams sideline coach can give up the point to the other team, ending the game and saving time.

ALSO, just because a game is played on a field with an X in the middle, does not mean it is X ball by any means, X ball is a completely different format of play, the X in the middle of the field was just a gimmic of sorts. And now, alot of places have fields with X's in the middle, but, unless its played with the X ball format, your not playing X ball

Another cool thing is that the fields are almost square, 150/125 i believe. THis makes the game fast and aggressive.

Conceding the game is essentially giving the flag hang to the other team without them having to actually hang the flag. The result is the same.

Coaching is an Xball element. Designated coaches are allowed on the sidelines to give commands to the players.
