does anyone know where I can get some good white rims for a 94 Honda accord close to charlotte NC. I can't find any and I don't want to order them from the internet becuase shipping is an extra $200-$300.

Or if anyone living in the area has some they are looking to sell I'd be happy to meet them :D

Many performance shops/car places will order something for you and have it shipped to them with their order at no/minimal extra cost. Try that.

I went to one and he said he had to special order them meaning they would cost $200 more.

but if its as u say then ill try others because if they can have them shipped with a regular order then it shouldn't coast much more Thanx.

The Motegi MR7's come in white as well. I thought about doing those on my '91 Accord, but I changed my mind on the color of the body, so I'll roll with either gun metal or black.

Motegi RT5's also come in white.

Who cares if beadlocks aren't road legal... I'm gonna run em on my pickup anyways because I don't think there is a single cop around these parts that even knows what a beadlock wheel is...

Even if they did know what a beadlock was you could just tell them that they are simulated beadlocks. :P

I'd agree with that: I ran beads on my jeep for two years, and even pulled the "They're replicas!" on a CHP.

For the ignorant: What's beadlock and why is it illegal?

Basically, you bolt the tire to the rim. This allows you to run much lower tire pressures, and thus mroe grip, without your tires potentially coming off.

Not sure why they are illegal.

Yeah... I never really understood why they're illegal either... It keeps the tire on the rim, so it sounds like a good thing to me! :p

the bead thingys can fly off and hit someone...this is normally from them not being in the tight enough, but on some occasion, they just fly off....

also they need to be torqued quite often for them not to fly off...

"i was told beadlocks are not DOT approved but there is no law that says "no beadlocks on the road""

"I think it just has to do with the price to get something DOT approved and companies dont want to do it"

Maybe thats it?

I was reading up and the bolt thing was a reason but it was diproved.

Check eBay, a lot of times you can get wheels for a great deal and they throw shipping in free. Plus if you get tires and wheels together a lot of times they'll mount and balance them for free, which will save you quite a bit of money.
