On my Mags' TASO it has a little wire for a ball detent, will this work? I'm not sure if it came stock or not, but will it last about a day?

You might want to upgrade to the plastic ones. AGD made them to replace the old style wire detents.

You've got a TASO barrel? Wow, that's dated... :D
Upgrade to the plastic ones. You get 6 of them from airgun.com for a couple of bucks.
