I wanted to start this thread to see who everyone else mail orders your basic stuff from, ie hoppers, gloves, tanks, that sort of thing. I have had several very aggravating experiences lately and I want to see if anyone else has any gripes or kudos to give out.

Here is my list

Gripes:

www.anythingxtreme.com

Paid mucho extra for shipping so it would arrive by the weekend, still haden't shipped by the next day. I called to see if I could pay more for next day shipping, and the "witch" on the phone said it had already shipped out - at 10 o'clock in the morning. I work for a mail order company myself and no one who ships any volume closes and ships packages in the morning, so I think she was lying to me so she didn't have to do any work.

www.hotshotpaintball.com

I have ordered several times from this company and every time it has been extremely difficult. Everything out of stock, no communication with the warehouse, etc. They are local here, so I tried to give them a chance, but no luck.

Kudos:

www.actionvillage.com

Their website has active stock status indicators, so you know whats in stock. The things I ordered came in faster than expected and were exactly what i ordered.

www.paintball-discounters.com

Had what I needed in stock and there was a problem with my credit card, so instead of delaying it a day, they CALLED ME (take the hint all you other distributers) to sort out the problem.

Anyway, I just want to see who others are using to mail order from and how your experiences have gone!

Pretty good selection, fast shipping, items what you ordered. Mike is a great guy.

The ONE time I've bothered to order from actionvillage/paintballgear.com was a pain in the ***. A couple of items were out of stock, so I had to cancel those. Shipping took forever. My macroline was messed up, I called them, they sent out a foot of microline. Called again and finally got some macro. The only thing I can give them credit for is their selection.

I agree with Warped - 95% of my stuff comes from the local shop and I get much better service and prices than anywhere else. But.. for the rest of the stuff I order PunishersPB is the place to go.

Bad idea. Not because they're bad, because they're not. But you always get higher prices when you order direct from the manufacturer.

I use themagsmith, ive bought a few things from him off of ebay and for now on thats the only place i will be buying new AGD stuff from. Of course for great deals the b/s/t forums here is wonderful, and you can find some very sweet deals on ebay from time to time, just watch the shipping price when you bid there. :D

Action Village has always been good to me. I've never had a problem with them.
However, I do my best to shop at my local shop as much as I can. They dont have a wide selection and their prices are higher than most online stores, but I like to support them. If the local shops die, local paintball dies. Sometimes they have amazing deals though. 700 for a a new Proto, or maybe it was 600 (100 below the lowest online price). Plus, the owner of the store is awesome. His store has been open since paintball has been legal in NJ, and before that he sold truck racing parts.

I used to go to G3, but as of late all the stuff I have ordered has come from Compulsive Paintball. Great prices, excellent selection of the freshest gear, and EXCELLENT customer service!
