Things seem to be a bit murky for alooney....

However, in most tournaments, Rosters are required to be submitted prior to the event. These rosters can be altered the day of the event but generally only before the first game has been played. After the first game has been played the rosters are essencially set and no further alterations may be made.

Long story short - Any team that shows up to IAO short will need a sub, however most teams have enough stand-in people sitting around to fill a position before they even leave for an event.

So, this hope of playing as a sub is an unrealistic one unless you already have a team and are a sub for that team or are on loan from one team to another. In the case of the latter this loan would have been made effective prior to the event itself.

Let me clarify for everyone...

Team AO and ten othres are playing in the Owners Group Division. I am the director of the owners group division. what i say goes. end of story.

I made the rule, and all teams signed on, that no roster changes may be made after june 10 PERIOD. end of story, the fat lady sung a LONG time ago.

so, when teams come to the event, they will have to presetn ID for everyone on their roster. those playesr will receive wristbands. to play, you must have a wristband. no wristband, no playing.

hope this clears things up.

you WILL NOT play. Sorry...but thats life. next year, i encourage you to get on the ball and join the team when they're looking for people on the roster. Sorry...

Does this mean I am dont even have a chance?
Yes

Altho what will happen if some one can't go ?

Kevmaster
07-23-2005, 12:10 AM
sadly, yes. it means you have no chacne of playing for any team in the owners group division. sorry..

dj: if you lose a player, tough luck. there are no limits on the amount of players you can roster so teams can (and did) prepare for lsoing one or two guys. almost every team has lost a player off their roster.

Muzikman
07-23-2005, 09:00 AM
And some lost 3 or 4 off our roster and still will survive with 5 or 6 players. There are reasons for this rule, and a few others that were set on the OGD event that most tournaments do not have. Each rule, no matter what people think is there to make the event better, not worse.

Hell, I would love so much to change two of the rules right now due to losing players, but I understand for the better of the event this can and will not happen.

So the emphatic NO you got from 3 different people several times wasn't enough? :tard:
