Does anyone know if this is a FPO tourny. Those paint fees blow!

How are they going to pay for their rent on the dome, the clean up, and the PA announcer if this is a BYOP tourney?

They are charging $500+ for a NOVICE team! That's how. Plus, you know there are always people who volunteer their help.

I have never played in a BYOP tournament, hell, most fields are FPO. Looking as the prices, they are not much worse than say the IAO. They are a little higher in the entry fee, but hey, there is a lot more expense for this event. The paint prices are pretty close to most major tournaments.

I think paint prices are better than they were a few years ago, but still too high around the sport. I realize that event producers make most their $$ off of paint sales, but when I can get a case of Marb for a little over $50, and they buy in bulk, they are making a lot. They know they will sell a lot of paint, but rather than make $$ by volume sales, they wring it out of each case. If it were cheaper, people would shoot more, and then buy more.

Well, it seems like the WPF got dropped. They were the event producers last year and brought Skyball from a crap-tournament with crappy paint to a cool, well-run tournament with crappy paint. And, the Gaylord Entertainment Center here in Nashville costs $20,000 per night, and thats for Charity organizations. SOOO, the $500 per team and $90 a case for paint (too bad its ZAP crap) isn't really that bad considering their costs.
