What did AGD do for the military? I was reading Tom's Tech Tips, the one about spinning paintballs, and the last paragraph stated "When the military came to us and wanted a more accurate non lethal system we made a bullet shaped, spin stabilized paintball that far outperformed any equal weight round projectile." What is this thing that they made? I don't think I ever heard of this.

AGD is responsable for the FN 303. It's a non lethal weapon system used by both the military and police forces. The rounds are more bullet shaped, but IIRC still contain liquid loads(pepperspray, marking dye etc)

Hit the search engine up with FN 303, you will find lots.

Just a mild point, but the mysterious "they" make a point of saying that these systems are "Less Lethal" rather than "Non-LethaL" because there's still the chance for severe injury/death associated with any device designed to gain compliance which fires a projectile or delivers other forms of energy to a subject.

The FN 303 has the capacity to kill someone, either through trauma or through an alergic reaction to the OC powder that the rounds can deliver. However it's less likely to be lethal than say... I dunno... 9x19mm JHP +P.

The valving system and finned "paintball" were designed and adapted for the M303 by my good friend Tom Kaye of Airgun Designs paintball fame ( www.automags.org ,I'm a moderator there).

AGD has a steel fire door at the end of a 100' hallway, that has many fist sized dents in it from the 303 projos. With speeds of up to 400fps, the projos will knock the crap out of you.

Do they sell them to the public? Cost? Looks interesting! And don't forget AGD's other contributions to the military and national security. Speking of TK's top secret SOG missions into enemy territory, armed only with a pair of Sydarms. But he doesn't talk about that much these days..... :shooting:

They do not sell them to the public. I just happened to luck upon that one. They seem to cost about $800 or so new. I have been trying to buy some rounds for it for about a year and have had no luck. It will shoot normal paintballs, but shoots them at over 400fps.
