So, everyone is wearing PB jerseys and pants and looking like logo whores. How about an alternative team look? How about only sporting logos if you're sponsored?

Perfect custom, design your own jerseys:
http://www.barbarian.com/index.cfm?app=order&a=shirtbuilder&name=Rugbygear.c
(turn off your sound, the 'noise' on the site is annoying...)

or:

What would be the disadvantage?

While you need to order 18 from Barbarian for a true custom order, there are a huge number of standard combinations.

Wow. Is it really as bad an idea as that?

I knew paintball players were a bunch of pansy fashion slaves :p , but I expected at least a couple of replies saying why this might be a good idea or not.

I think it would have possibilities if the choices were not so limited. Like if you could add your own art and stuff.

I think that a good number of "paintball" jerseys are made these days with paintball function in mind which is the only reason I wear one (when it's not too hot).

With that functionality in mind I've just purchased a "real" paintball jersey that isn't a walking endorsement. The Fusion Battle Jersey. It's got all the expected paintball jersey stuff (padding, venting, etc) but it's camo for the scenario games I've gotten into lately.

I'm planning one patches/iron-on letters etc to help our team stand out.

Limited ?!? Did you look at all the paterns and colours?

If you want artwork, add patches or embroidery.

Those are stitched shirts not printed coulours on a background. (At least a good number of them are)

I wouldn't recommend the 100% cotton in the heat, but their "microsupreme" is supposed to be good in the heat.

They both suck. The shirts have collars, the rugby style. Ewwwwwwwwwww, good idea though.

Or you can take a 7 dollar longsleeve from walmart and get it lettered locally for about 5 bucks. Thats what my team did, cheap jerseys fast

Remember when the XFL (extreme football league) was around? And if you do... remember when it flopped? All the team jerseys went on the mega discount rack and you could have picked up a nice jersey for only $5! bought me a dozen and i'm part of "the hitmen" when ever we play a tourney. Best $5 i ever spent

Now that's cool.

But, you've got a problem finding matching ones if your team changes/grows.

Ahh. A cheapskate after my own heart. :p

You can get several full outfits (cargo pants, socks, t-shirt, and longsleeve) for the price a single piece of PB clothing will set you back. :D

You're right. I've been wanting to get a pair of paintball pants, but damn--I can't justify spending $60 on a pair of pants that are going to be put through hell.
At the same time, the paintball pants are made for the abuse, so...
Dilemma.

I did the full dye gear thing for my first two years until I saw some other kids in full gear and realized how dumb I really looked. Now I pretty much just wear dye hybrids because they are durable (from my experience, I've heard other opinions on them though) and either my 12 dollar t-shirt team jersey or an old grey t-shirt. I guess I'm about half-cheap. I'll dish out the money for the pants but whats the point of the jersey? At least the pants protect my knees and groin, i need those to live

if you want to be even cheaper than nt2004, go to target, go to the clearence rack, pick up a $3 shirt of your color, they are rather durable, then go to home depot, buy cans of $1 spray paint, make a template, and show your true creative side :p

I always wondered why nobody used hockey jerseys. They seem reasonably cheap compared to PB jerseys - especially if self-lettered.
Cheap, (http://www.hockeymonkey.com/jerseys-uncrested.html)
cheaper, (http://www.hockeymonkey.com/ccmpracjer2.html)
cheapest! (http://www.hockeymonkey.com/ccmpracjer.html)

Just a thought.
