View Full Version : Greatest marker ever...?

I was just thinking, if you could take a few paintball companies engineers, lock them in a room with a few pens and pencils a bunch of paper, and a few super computers to make the best marker ever, which companies would you take? Personally, I'd take AGD - AKA and one of the oldtimers, like Glenn Palmer or something.
Edit* - I forgot all about Doc..He'd be in there too, mountain dew and all

The makers of the PANDORA board for Vikings

AKA (obviously cause I'm a junkee)

AGD for durability and a built in non-electronic anti-chop system

agd, aka, and smart parts

lets see, you lock them into a room only with pencils and paper... AGD and AKA would murder SP for food :D!

in all honesty, simon and maybe ICD for internals/operation, maybe dye too, TAG for the board, STD for the regs, and deadlywind for the milling.

it also depends what kind of marker is it going to be, what you are going for. there really is no one perfect marker, its not possible.

7-Eleven would play the most vital part to the process of creating the 'perfect' marker...

Hats off to Warped1 for saying Dye...and I think Soopa Villian is definately headed in the right direction :tard:
I would take... Dye and there you go...
No, DYE, ICD, Smart Parts, and WGP
AGD is great but is not on my list for the perfect gun in the sense that the reason I like these brands is for their type of marker which are somewhat similar in design, speed, and efficiency (there's more but I cant think of it now)...

AKA- Machining
AGD- Design
NPS (Simon)- R&D
Doc- For that custom feel
STD- Reg design

And me- Why me? Because the greatest marker ever is personal preference. I would want them to design a gun around my wants/needs, so I would have to be there, right?

Doc, Tom Kaye, Budd Orr, Glen Palmer, STD, Bob Long, Dan Bonebrake, WDP, And we'll toss old Dave "YongBlood" into the mix just for S&G.

I'd wanna be in there too, but more to watch the process than anything else lol.

PMI Low end?! EVIL is PMI!!!!!!!!!! :wow:
point taken... but i was thinking the PMI brand name. i never liked evil guns either anyway though, the omen trigger is just horrible and you cant use a halo, and then the pimp basically has a single finger trigger. when i think of high end guns i never really think of evil, but i guess they definately arent low end. i love their pants though :D.

were they really bought by NPS though?

Well this is my personal opinion.

I've tried every gun on the market and the Eclipse Ego is by far teh best gun on the market. Small, Light, Fast, everything you need, its perfect for a front or back player, even a scenario player.

The Ion is the best lowend to hit the market. It helped low end guns compete with high end guns for less than half the price.

By far though TAG has the best boards hands down.

I'm sorry. The Automag valve, while still good, and great for its time (10 years ago) would not have me vote AGD for a 'valve' category.
Try Mel/PBX and the mQ technology.

Valve:Mel C. Maravilla

I think the engineers of Macdev already made the perfect marker called the Cyborg. Even though it does need to be milled a litle bit more but who cares that marker is perfect.

You guys are going about this all wrong.

It doesn't matter what the gun is or how it works.

All you have to do is hype the gun like crazy.

Screw funding R&D, and throw all the cash into marketing.

SUCCESS!!!

And then repeat every few months.

oh, and then id snag Will and get a tadao M whatever # hes on by then thrown in

Take any paintball engineers and put them in a room to do R&D. No time limit, cost cutting or marketing and Im sure you'd get an amazing gun; its always one of these which has prevented previous attempts from being "perfect ;) "

Knowing very little about PB design I would go for people I have met and trust, Glen & Craig Palmer, and Larry at AKA. Probley throw in Simon cause I am very curious about him, then of course my brother cause he has potential in the engineering dept, just needs some good mentors...
I just think it would neat to watch the process, and of course I would have to be there cause they would get thirsty..

As for Oprah, always need someone to add you to thier "book/gun club" . If she put it on her show everyone would buy it.Aand martha is there to clean up after all the messy guys and make a "more functional, workable, up to date, enginnering space..

Yup your right

oprah will eliminate the price problem, she says it's great and all the house wives buy it, and she'll buy one for every member of the audience. Martha...well just like cameo said and is the key note speaker for dos and don'ts on insider trading.

Blue screen? No problem, he could give you a satellite update via the gprs chip in the gun, that's right, wireless updates; and no need to worry about the TAG.worm or tedao_virus, because your protected with AGD antivirus. What about jeff foxworthy and chris rock??

If I had to pick a "best gun" I'd have to pic the DM4. There's a gun which has been around for a couple years, never breaks, and is the only gun my friend, an avid gunwhore (in 1 month he goes through 3 guns... on average), has ever kept over 1 month of time.

now wait, everyone made fun of that comment. however agd and aka would make the sweetest marker, and while i hate smart parts, their marketing would put the gun in 6 year olds hands in about a week after the release of the gun. and yes AGD and AKA would own any other company if they made a marker.
