View Full Version : Difference Between Y & Z Boards for Egg II?

Does anyone know? Also, how do you tell them apart?

Y board- Stock board that comes with eggs. Advertizied to feed 19 BPS.
Z Board- Aftermarket board. Avertizied to feed 23 BPS.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if the Y board was stock or an older upgrade, pre-Z board.

Z-Boards also don't have a speed pot (little adjuster knob) for feed rate which was common on Y-Boards prior to this latest run as well. The new Y-Boards to the best of my knowledge don't have this pot, however you can easily tell the difference between the two board versions by simply turning the loader on and sticking your finger into the feed neck until the impeller stops turning.

If you have a Y-Board the impeller will spin at a constant rate and stop when you break the IR beam with your finger. The Z-Board will spin quickly, slow down, then speed up again when you break the IR beam and continue to spin for a momment then stop.
