they are also the exact same adds every page. AO should just get some sponsors. every other board does it.

At least we still have the old AO feel with all the complaining.

i love them, they make a great source of entertainment. i mean come on, "paintball sniper guns - one shot-one kill paintball gun destroy enemies. Long bow paintball sniper guns!"

If you click them, AO makes money. Just keep that in mind.

Not nessessarly..
If you just click them AO will get less money.
You actually have to be interested in the clicks and do something when you go to the site.. like order something.

Yeah, no kidding. We wouldn't want to support AO or anything, would we?

And people wonder why things have gone down hill.

maybe AO should get relevant ads from, you know, real paintball companies? sort of like what PBN does. the google ads arent anything any sane player would want to buy...

It just came to me, but maybe the one of the reasons sigs are turned off is because it saves moeny on the AO bill, which means less cash out of Tom's pocket. :Oo:

what thordic said... unless you have some weird deal, just clicking will, even if the person doesnt buy the product it still exposes them to the site/buisness, so the advertising was successful.

I'd have to say that these ads aren't as big of eyesores as the AGD ads. Seriously, I didn't like the brick ratio shape of the ads. They're fine for small banners but for anything big you ough to use longer banners that are shorter.

No, the reason sigs were turned off (as stated numerous times), was they were being abused and causing problems.
