ive always heard that vert feeds are capable of firing faster bps wise than power feeds, or feeds like on the m98. im just wondering, by how many bps do power feeds and/or m98 feeds slow you down? what do they max out at? im just asking cause i was thinking about an a-5 project that included taking off the cyclone and putting ona powerfeed.

well the only reason why it feeds faster is because there are more balls ready to go. they will fall as fast as you can drop them. if it is vert and longer the faster it can feed longer.

is that understandable? i am bad at explaning.

It faster because it's the most direct way to get balls in the break.

Vert feed has a greater number of balls ready to fall straight down. Power feed slows down the process slightly, since the balls are rolling diagonally down instead of straight down. Of course, this is really only applicable when you're relying on a gravity-powered loader. Force-feed hoppers pretty much make this a non-issue.

This link explain why a vertical-feed is faster if we only consider gravity.

Center-feed is faster while using gravity hoppers but it don't prevent blowback of the balls if the bolt doesn't seal correctly. Power feed on the other hand will be slower with a gravity hopper but will prevent blowback of the paintball when the marker fire. But, a marker with a lot of blowback will feed faster on a power-feed then with a vertical-feed. There is no absolute law about this.
