Cougar River Air Sports CF Body Review

Got this first run body from the company Saturday and I have to say it is incredible. Since this is only a first run (1 of 4), there are some slight errors that are being worked out on the finished product such as the slots on the bottom and coloring. This is more like a prototype that I got for reviewing.

It comes in several different colors and two different materials, carbon fiber and a CF/kevlar hybrid. The kevlar body looks like the stiffi switch kits, which is very hot in my opinion. The body I received is regular carbon fiber in blue. Here are the strengths and weaknesses of the body.

Strengths:
-Very well made (each body is made by hand)
-Lightweight
-Easy to install
-QEV friendly
-Stunning color in the CF
-Price is amazing, only $59 for regular carbon fiber

Weaknesses:
-The color faded on mine (Edit:--after talking to the manufacturer, this is the way it came. I just didnt notice it till now.)
-Slots cut by dremel (will be molded on finished product)
-Doesn’t fit as tight as stock body

Overall I give this body an 8/10 because it looks good and doesn’t kill your wallet.

Sounds cool. I don't know if I'd buy it if it wiggles and isn't tight though. Maybe the finished version will go on tight. All in all, I think it's a great idea. Durable AND light. Perfect.

I forgot to mention that the body is loose when it goes on, but once all the screws are in its just like any other body.

Thanks for the review, looks alright to me.
Much more can be done with CF than most people are doing, it can be molded n really cool shapes.

That first picture is beautiful, like a fish. Looks like an awesome body.

frankly, its an ugly body, nothing to it, no flair, nothing. id say if you want a cf body, get the kage from deadly wind

Um, Deadly Wind doesn't make the Kage body. They Make the Foehn. And neither are CF. They are aluminum.

Deadlywind is making the isara, a carbon fiber body with an aluminum cage around it.

The new style looks nice. The simple round body was a little too plain IMHO.
