My field uses emags as their rental guns. They buy them wholesale for 99$. Tippmann 98's cost more. It sucks that mags have no value anymore.

What do u guys think?

I'm with everyone else.. I have to call BS here. Too many things don't add up. First of all, most fields don't use electro guns for rentals... too much of a paint recharging batteries and having batteries going bad & etc. (worked at a field...). Plus, almost every field uses tippman 98's... sucks but they are easy to work on and get parts for. But, in the rare chance someone has lost their freaking mind and are selling emags for 1/8th of their actual cost, then put me down for a bunch.

Probably a typo and they missed a '9' on the end.

I agree on the electro part. Its a PITA just trying to get 9 volts changed in an e-spider so that players can play sooner and keep shooting (and leave sooner as a bi-product :) ). Can't imagine how much of a hassle that would be to kep up with e-mags. Even making sure guns charge nightly becomes a bit of a teadious chore at the end of the day.

ditto what everyone said above me, i'd like one to backup my FS-7 lol ...

Seriously tho, if they were only 99 wholesale, people wouldnt sell them for so much, they would charge like 300, cause they would sell so many more at tha tprice then at 800-900 it would easily make up the diff.

I think you missed a zero on each one, 990 and 400 maybe?
But that's a ripoff now..

to me it's a bunch of bull. fields only rent out cheap mecanical markers that are easy to fix and the parts are a sure fire thing to come by. no place would rent out emags. with replacing the batteries every night, it would blow some of their profit. Tippmann 98's are what you see, maybe the a5 will be the big thing soon idk. but emags? come on. there is something a little screwed up there. BRING BACK HUSTLERS INDOOR PAINTBALL IN NEW JERSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :shooting:

Actually it is possible. PMI DID have emags (with stainless bodies) and RT pro's (stainless) for $99 each. PMI is apparantly dropping all of their AGD line in their warehouse and cleared it all out extremly cheap. That was a dealer price btw, and if I had called earlier in the week I'd have 2 emags but they were out when my shop finally got the notice.... I wanted to cry. PMI= Pursuit Marketing Inc... yes they also do the pirahna line, same company. Wholesale is usually some insane price. Now when the company purchase said markers? unless it was in the past 2 weeks, I call shenanagins. If you all don't believe me I'll scan a copy of the notice that my shop recieved.

*******************************I CALL SHENS***********************************
Shennanigans, I declare it until proof comes. I want picture of a invoce or somethings. Or link to this wholesaler that actually sells E-Mags. If they were $100 I'd take a few.
About them using Emags as rentals is a load of crap too. Excuse my language but it is. :argh:
Emags are too fast and too complicated for renties to use. So Ultra Shens on this one.

Alright, I'll cut the part out and scan if from PMI, although I will have to delete the other markers and other dealer prices off of it. I'll see what i can do tomorrow at work.

Kinda hard believing the rental part, but the $99 for an emag...You'd prolly have to buy a good amount of emag units just to get them at that price. If thats even true...

stop whining buy a mag

I saw the price list yesterday. It is true, but they are probably sold out by now.

Arstron
09-21-2005, 08:43 PM
If its true id buy 5 at $200 a pop as well!

Although it wouldnt be a bad idea for field owners to use electros for rentals (not factoring in up keep), think of how much money they could make off of paint then!

tipp-ed off

I'll take 10 please...$150 each.

Ok, first, read every post. PMI was and is OUT. Ok, since apparantly I can't upload pics onto AO, heres my pic on myspace I scanned a day or so back. http://img318.imageshack.us/my.php?image=scan00033qb.jpg
Have fun and drool, I did until I called our rep, then I cried.

Well just for the record, if anyone wants to sell me an emag for $99 I will take it. :D For that matter, id even buy only the lowers for that!:dance:

MicroMiniMe
09-26-2005, 12:54 PM
Kinda sad the emag was priced under a vision impulse.

But a stainless emag for $100 is just sweet. Would a field even want to run the level 10 with them?

Chronobreak
09-26-2005, 12:56 PM
itd be really sad if these aer actually be used as rentals..

being beat to crap by people that dont appreciate them.

no lvlX + non elelctro hopper =choppage.

lvlX =more tuning and trouble for maint.

as i said its a bad chocie for a rental gun.

better of selling them for $300 or more then buying some tippmans or classic mags

Commissar_Loki
09-26-2005, 01:25 PM
If I had called in time I would have bought 2 for myself and stripped for parts t sell here, I'd be getting like $800 or so in profit:
RT valve:$150X2 $300
Rail:$25X2 $50
Emag lowers: $350X2 $700
Stainless body: $15X2 $30

Erm, perhaps more than $800 but you get the idea. Heck, even the RT pro for $99 was a deal.... This whole thing made me sad. :(
