View Full Version : What do you need to Powdercoat stuff?

I dunno, no one around here does powdercoating jobs. So maybe I could muster up an old crappy oven, and use a sandblaster from my neighbor. Where do you get the paints/powders though? I heard they can be expensive too? LMK cuz I would like to do that around here...

PS: I think I would still have to get a fade job from redrider :D.

Search yahoo, you could get a nice setup for under $200.

In all honesty you will need about $700-$1000 to start powder coating the right way. The old oven would be nice but you will have to clean it to the point were you are better off buying a new one. Powder is so sensitive to grease that even the oils in your skin will mess up a perfect finish. In all honesty it would be better to just send out the gun and get it done for $20-$60 for a real crazy good job. Unless you send it to some one else they could charge alot more which is rape!!
