Looks enough like a HALO for newbies to mistake it for one. Marketing.

That feedneck just looks like trouble...

Although, if the feedneck were wider it would look a lot like a Prairie Dog's head... Maybe a Meerkat...

I think that last little piece is a marker breach.

Different profile than much seen before..Kinda a halo/reloader that mated with that extreme rage loader.

And what happened to that ugly one called the viewloader Envy?

If they go for the price of an Egg and claim to compete with the Halo then they'll sell. I think I'll stick with my Reloader B.

Has anyone here tried it yet? If not, just shut up until you try it, except the ugly comments(fire away!):)

As ugly as it may be, its still not as ugly as those prototype cliploading eggo's

...........or any Ricochet loader!

Of course none of you said the Halo wasn't ugly when pictures of Lasoya using the prototype surfaced on the net  Amazing how people forget what was said a couple of years down the line.
VL need a new loader, if not to compete with the Halo but at least to address the problems with the Evolution.

I own a Shredder (no gears stripped, though the extra battery pod is done for), a Revolution with X-Board and old shells ;), two Halos one with a V35 board the other is an unknown board but probably stock and a Evolution with a Z-Board. The last has been used for two games (I do mean games not events) and then has lived in my kitbag, it is unbroken but can't keep up with the Halo.
Depending on the cost and alledged performance I would possibly try one of these new Loaders after all I already have the "ugly" Evolution.

Ugly or not, ricochet apache is the best loader out there. Not disgustingly heavy like the Halo, doesn't break like the Eggo.

except it feeds slower than oil paints dry...

except it feeds slower than oil paints dry...

And its not force fed... I don't shoot at high BPS - I might hit ten. I would take a 15BPS force feed system over a 18BPS agitated anytime.

Eeek.. ill keep my halo B.

Whatever, as long as it feeds my warp, I'm fine. So I'll just stick with my revvy. But if I did ditch the warp, I'd have to say both the halo and the new VL one look fairly the same and I'd rather try them out vefore I diss either of them.

Looks kinda like a revamped Revi, just wider at the bottom to accomodate the drive cone.

To this day I still prefer my old (shelled) Revi. With the X board in it performs great. They are so durable, light, and good on batteries. I just hate that its hard to shoot on the run with the agitated hoppers because the balls bounce back up the tube.

I only use my force fed hopper for practice or tourneys while in PSP mode...

sooo ugly.

The new apaches feed at least as fast as an egg IME.

I'm warped anyway so it doesn't matter as much to me.

You're all wrong!

It's all about the Q-Loader

LOL JK

Anyway call me crazy but I like the way the new loader looks.

if you guys want a little more info check out the One4One.tv video for Spain. Here is the link to Pbstar
click it (http://www.paintballstar.com/pn/index.php)

You have to sign in (super easy) You will see the link for the video on the right side. You have to wait until about half way thru the clip but there is a good little sneak peak and some good info about this new loader.

As someone said on the comments at that site "Wait till XSV starts using them, then everyone will be ^crapping^ their pants to get one."

Its going to be the new fad. Lets all get one before they do, so we'll be cool.

I don't know I thing the halo is kind of ugly too. Frankly if Ricochet made a force feed hopper like the halo I would jump on it. I'm not in to the whole round brightly colored jelly bean look.

I'm wondering when Intel is going to jump on those "paint inside" stickers.

Dirge
10-25-2005, 09:54 PM
Is it at least lighter than a Halo? That alone will make it at least marketable.

A ricochet being a force feed, that would be hotness~!

Apaches, the only ricochet loader imo, should be used on warps. That is their sole purpose.

the new vl doesnt look that bad at all. However, reliability/durability tests will decide if its bonifide or not.

Ill just stick with my Cheetah.

Alls I want is a stupid hopper that the shell DOESN'T BREAK. I've had revi's snap, have and seen many EvoII's disintegrate without even touching them, and now my Halo feedneck has been busted for quite sometime now. And I am more than gentle with my equipment, even while playing.

MANIKE! Hop to it!

mobsterboy
10-26-2005, 04:28 PM
i might get one simply because you can interchange forcefeed and evo2 style feeding. It would be nice to use a better hopper on my angel, but i guess dual detents would help that too

hmmm, the changable chip is a nice idea, still think its shaped goofy, but, otherwise, seems like an OK halo alternative

I just watched that video....that plastic looks really cheap - especially the lid. Looks like it may break in a heartbeat.

warbeak2099
10-26-2005, 08:02 PM
It's viewloader, whaddya expect. Cheap, fragile plastic is their specialty. I'm in agreement with you. Manufactorers need to use the thicker, softer, pre-be style shells. The brittle crap cracks nonstop.
