45 frame. I am too used to shooting real guns to favor a 90 (maybe a P90). :D

45*. Its how i learned to shoot, its how i know to walk the trigger, shooting a 90* throws my posistion and rhythem off, plus does anyones wrist actually hurt when shooting a 45* on the field? Suck it up :)

I like the 45* as well. I'm sure I could get used to the 90* but I'm not going to go out of my way and spend any money to buy a new grip frame for any of my guns.

I have both, but I am used to the 45 from way back. I don't find it too terrible to transition from one to the other.

I tried a lot of 45* and one 90* (i frame for impulses), and horribly disliked the 90*. Too me it's really hard to walk, and throws everything out of my comfort zone. I bet it wouldn't be so bad if it was just a single trigger, or mech 90* frame.

That is my experiance.

I really hate the look of the 90* frame, but I must say that they feel really good in my hand. I do however prefer the 45*. Especially the ones on the newer Angels like the 05 speed and G7. I think they are the best feeling frames out.

Does anyone actually hold there hand around the "frame" when shooting lanes anyways? Mine is there, but loosely so 45 or 90 really doesnt make a big difference.

the i-frame is only 80*(well its not totally vertical) , and i love mine. i had an otb frame which is 90* and didnt really like it, not because of the 90*, but the trigger was odd to me. 45* frames are fine for me too though, i just like the feel of the 80* the best.

as you can see in this pic, it is not totally 90*, but closer to 80*

Thanks for the correction. But still...a combination of the trigger, lack of space in the trigger guard, and the angle all contributed to my dis-like.

In firearms .45

In paintball , electros especially since you shoot them nothing like a Firearm....you could cut the frame off under the trigger guard and I wouldn't care in the least. ;)

It really depends on the frame. For instance, I like 90* Angel frames, but I feel the Evolve 90* frame for Matrices has rather huge grips (at least for me), which makes it awkward to hold. Really, I don't have much of a preference. 90* frames are nice for getting the gun closer, but I'll work with whatever I have.

Now the other question is do you like 45 frames with a bump (Timmy / FS) or not :D

No, i like straight 45* frames, although, the new angel 45* frames, with a slight hump, are really comfy as well. Frame makes a big difference in a marker to me, as, i actually wrap my whole hand around the frame while shooting unlike some who just have a thumb on the back, and fingers going.

Agreed. I could care less what frame is on a gun when I am walking the trigger. I am holding it by the airsystem most of the time, or by the reg.

I haven't tried the new Angel 45 frames, but I started to really like my FS frame when I had it. I tend to use my hold hand around the frame and tend to walk the trigger with the back part of my fingers (closest to my knuckles)

Wow, most people who start with .45's on here don't like 90's. Well, I started out playing with .45's and did so for about 3-4 years. The second I picked up a 90* frame I decided I'd never go back. I don't know, they're just really comfy to me. I don't tend to walk the trigger while playing, maybe that's why. Even now that my gun's electro, I pull the trigger with one finger and I actually do wrap my hand around the frame.

I like both 90's and 45's. I tend to shoot with only a small portion of my palm touching the back of the frame and my fingers hovering over the trigger. I keep the marker stable by holding it firmly with my left hand against my shoulder. It makes shooting any frame style very easy and comfortable.

No preference. Now if you go past 90* I can't get used to it.

I have a 90 degree Angel and a 90 degree retro mag. I like both very much. I also have a 45 degree automag and a 45 degree emag which also feel good plus several other 45 framed paintball guns.

I do prefer the 90 degree frames overall when playing speedball. Its not as much of a preference when in the woods.

whelp, i just made the leap.
and figured i'd give the 90 chimera a shot. just ordered it from themagsmith today and i can't wait to slap it on my pariah mag. if nothing else, it'll at least look cool as heck with the pariah body/dallara rail :headbang:
