I drove my friends Mustang last night and now I want one. It was amazing, I never drive any fast cars but he let me drive this around and I can't stop thinking about getting a fast car. I think he said it was getting 360 HP to the wheels. Nothing too rare but I would take it anyday. I love cars. :bounce:

Mustangs rock :D That looks like the classic built 5.0, 360 to the wheels is quite a bit and you won't find that everywhere. The first time I got into a fastish car (RX7) I was hooked.

This is mine

Nice cars. Befor i bought my Motorcycle i was contemplating a late 80s stang but being as i own two cars currently a thrid would royaly peev my family off not to mention the neibors. So i bought the bike instead still fasdt cheaper to inshure and ALOT better on fuel.

Although i turly do LOVE pretty mutch all mustangs cept those built mid to late 70s. Wish i could but just aint got the room time or $$$$$ to support one.

My friend has one that he has been fixing up. They just finished all the mechanical problems on the engine, finished timing it, and they thought that they were having problems with heating up really fast and really hot, but they just had a bad guage :D Now onto cosmetics and interior, gonna be a sweet car.

Although they are the same block so that's why many people swap them in like you said. Hmmm... I've got a stroker crank, rods and pistons to make a 351 into a 408 just sitting around... maybe I should build the engine and drop it into a mustang. :D

I think that anything american is a waste of time. But that is just me.
Audi on the other hand. Now that is something :headbang:

I, too, would like to announce a general lack of enthusiasm for the topic of discussion.

Now, 19th century British naval history? Now we're doing some larning. :)

Not the same block... very similiar, but certainly not the same block. And a fox body (or an SN95 for that matter) 'stang with a 408 would be nice :ninja:

I like Audi's but I can't afford to fix it when it breaks. Its just to expensive for me.

Mustang = largest aftermarket manufacturer base and generally dirt cheap parts.

We have an 85 LX (3.4L) Convertible. I hate it.

The front ends of pre-87 Fox Bodies are ugly as hell. 87-92 hardtops own though.

I'm fairly sure the biggest motor the Fox Bodies came with was a 302. A 351W would be an easy swap though.

I think wranglers probably take the cake for largest aftermarket and dirt cheap or even free parts if you feel like looking hard enough.

Wranglers close, but don't forget all the "classic" mustang parts makers. You can order just about every part ever made for 60's erra stangs.

Go to www.quadratec.com.
You can actually assemble a wrangler from parts on that site and you probably have five or more of each part to choose from. The only things you can't get are some dealer only emissions parts.
