Sleeper Cell - Sunday November 13, 2005 at Outdoor Adventures

Undercover Spetsnaz operatives living in the U.S. and clandestine Al Qaeda Jihadists have joined forces in an unlikely alliance to destroy American nuclear and biological weapons facilities. From the event coordinator himself -

In order to prepare you for the great time at Sleeper Cell, I am providing samples of some of the missions for the game.

The Sky Is Falling - Again

It has been discovered that an American spy satellite is falling out of orbit. The information contained in this satellite is of utmost importance to both teams. This is because the satellite contains information each team wants and information it does not want the other team to receive. It will be discovered that the satellite has come down somewhere near a certain city. Each team will want to find the satellite ASAP. Upon discovering the satellite, they have three options. First, they may download information from the satellite by attaching a download computer. This computer must be attached for 5 minutes and then returned to their CP. Second, they can destroy the satellite and prevent the other team from accessing its information. This will require Not-TNT and an Engineer. Last, the team can do both things- Access the information and destroy the satellite. The information contained is as follows- Blue- Will discover potential locations for next Sleeper Cell activations, Red- Will discover location of “containment devices” that Blue team can use to place a nuke in to contain an explosion. Plus, you earn valuable points toward final victory!

A Little Nukie Never Hurt Anyone

This mission will be used in conjunction with a Sleeper Cell activation. Upon activation of the Sleeper Cell, a dirty nuke will be placed and its timer started. The timer will be set for 45 minutes. The Blue team will be required to defeat the Sleeper Cell and deal with the nuke. They can disarm the nuke by having an Engineer use a “disarm weapon” card. To do this, the Engineer with the card must be within arm's length of the nuke for 5 minutes. If they are unable to disarm the nuke, it can be transported to a “containment chamber” and placed inside of it. There will be two containment chambers on the field. If at any time the timer reaches zero, the nuke explodes and kills everyone between the nuke and the closest cities in all directions.

Dignitary Protection

Secretary of State Robyn Quivers is scheduled to meet with Mexican Presidente Cheech Marin to request assistance in the fight against terrorism. The Blue team must escort the Secretary of State to the meeting location to be specified. Quivers will follow commands such as to where to walk and when to duck or hide. However, she will not run or lay down. The Blue team must escort to the meeting and arrive alive. The Red team wants to assassinate her and bring embarrassment upon the American people. On a side note, the current Administration does not advertise that Secretary Quivers comes from an old Mafioso family. Because of this, the hit must be clean. Any overshooting will bring disfavor upon the terrorist cause, the probability of a visit from Cousin Guido and the loss of many points! The Secretary of State will wave a white flag when eliminated.

Blow The Bridge

In order to terrorize the American public, the terrorists have decided to blow up the Austin Bridge. A covert Red Spetsnaz reconnaissance force has located the weak parts of the structure and placed a device to hold the bomb (Velcro Straps). The Red team must attach the bomb to the bridge at the location indicated by a sign reading ﻥﺯﺨﻤ ﺕﻔﻨ ‘ﻥﺩﺭﻜ ﻥﺍﺭﺎﺒﻤﺒ ‘ﻙﺠﻨﺭﺎﻨ ‘ﺏﻤﺒ ﻡﺯﺎﻋ ‘ﻡﺩﻘ ‘ﺎﭙ ‘ﻩﺩﻨﻭﺭ ﺭﻀﺎﺤ ‘ﻭﺴﻨﻴﺩﺒ‘ﻩﺭﺎﺒ ﻥﻴﺍ ﺭﺩ ‘ﻥﻭﻨﻜﺍ ‘ﻊﻘﻭﻤ ﻥﻴﺍ ﺭﺩ ‘ﺎﺠﻨﻴﺍ ﺭﺩ ‘ﺎﺠﻨﻴﺍ(Farsi for 'Bomb Goes Here') and start the 5 minute timer. The Blue team must prevent the bomb placement. If the bomb is placed, an Engineer can disarm it by touching the bomb for 1 minute.
