Something tells me that it isn't lawsuit worthy. It's just a grip. Nobody's gonna cry over having the same darn grip pattern. Does look like the exact same damn thing tho. :nono:

well, ER seems to be a big growing company, and if AGD was able to get some significant amount of money from them, maybe AGD could pull itself out of its slump?

ZEROte
11-14-2005, 10:29 PM
yes because agd will be paid royalties of 1 dollar of every bike grip sold. which means agd will have 5 dollars coming their way from er. and er is not a big growing company. theyve been around for sometime and they are probably doing worse than agd. anyone remember the timer grips?

When did AGD ever lay claim to the bicycle grip?
It was just thrown on the gun.

Ever stop to think that every single one of those bike grips was made in the same place, no matter who sells them?

Like, maybe China? Or Taiwan? Or hell, even Mexico. There are a great many parts out there that are not knockoffs, but simply the exact same product, made by the exact same people, but branded and sold by someone else.

Lay off the conspiracy/lawsuit pipe, you'll feel better.

Kind of like Kenmore/Whirlpool and Craftsman/Black & Decker; or vehicles made by GM and sold under Chevy/Buick/GMC/Saturn/Pontiac, etc: Same products, different label.

If anyone has the time to dig it up, I still remember the post when Tom was looking for input on the new RTPro design. I'm sure the thread is around.....most fell in love with the bike grip when he found it :)

seems the pictures are long gone though :( I think the first one was chrome with a clear grip, not a whole lot of people were into that. But once he showed the black one, it was on! :D

I had to add to this. GM and sold under Chevy/Buick/GMC/Saturn/Pontiac/Geo/Saab/Suburau/Toyota/Honda/Oldsmobile/Holden/Vauxhall/Opel/Daewoo/Suzuki/Isuzu/Fiat/Hummer

Now Toyota has the Matrix witch is the Pontiac Vibe, and made some of the past Corollas into Geo Prisms. There are a few other cars Gm and Toyota share.
Honda on the other hand was asked to make the engines for the Saturn Vue. Well it was in the august 2004 issue of Motor Trend also found here. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/suv/369_0508_review_2006_saturn_vue/index.html

Same goes with ford also. all the suvs and luxury cars all spread through the company (explorer and mercury mountainer, new ford luxury car and jag cars, rangers and mazda trucks, etc). Some cars, small trucks/suvs share teh same platform.

But yeah, agd should sue. In fact, it would bring all of paintball out of a recession right now if agd sued. I mean at least 100,000 bike grips are sold everyday. :ninja:

AGD doesn't own it or make it so I don't know what the fuss is all about.

And yes, American car manufactures have been working with imported and other supposed auto competition since the 60's. There hasn't been a truly American made production car since the 70's at least. ;)

As a sears appliance sales associate, i can tell you that kenmore does not always = whirlpool. True, whirlpool has most of the bids for kenmore's appliances, but the ranges are mostly frigidare, and about 1/3rd of the refrigerators are made by frigidare as well, and a few are even manufactured by maytag(ugh.)

also, look soon to see whirlpool making maytag, because they are trying to acquire the company as maytag has gone down the crapper.
