I'd say yes but others may tell you that you could find better for the money.

whoa, damn. thats a good price for a new model timmy. it looks to be comparable in price to the defiant, so i'd pick whichever one you like best. arent they basically the same except a difference in milling and parts compatability?

Those were my 2 favorites, but the defiant 2 is capped at 15 bps. 2k5 timmy is capped at 25 bps.

Yes, but action village is out of stock on both the defiant, and 2k5 model timmy. I e-mailed them and they said they doubt they're getting any more in.

Thats a great deal on a 2k5. But, I think that you could do better buying a used 2k2, and put tadao in it, for the same $$$. They make m5 code tadaos for the 2k2. Frenzy board, in my vast experience, sucks. Poor eye logic, trouble with starting up, etc.

I'd go for a used 2k2 Timmy as well. I bought another one recently for $350.

Personally, I love Timmies and I can talk you ear off about why I think they are the best gun overall.

Elaborate on why they are the best guns overall please...I dont know much about timmies so I would like to hear a little about them.

Timmies are extremely easy to work on, and diagnose. There are timmy techs everywhere, as they are a very popular gun. The 2k2 version is a little longer in the body over the 2k4 and above styles. They are light, fast, and you have a choice of styles. My only recommendations for upgrades are a board, and, if possible, a new reg. I have had poor luck with the torpedo regs, and now run an AKA 2 liter on my Alias. My Z runs a CP reg. Both are great, and far better than the torp reg.

the D2 comes stock with a frenzy board. so PSP ramping modes are capped at 15. it also has nppl modes, which i dont think are capped at 15. what are the nppl modes?

Personaly I would go 2k5 over 2k2 for one reason. Balance. I like the 2k2 but I LOVE the alias style grip. The gun feels more at home in my hands. Really what I would say is find someone who has one and at the very least hold it.. even better put some paint through it. Everyone has their own tastes when it comes to this stuff... .having shot damn near everything out there timmys happen to be one of my favorites :)
