First off potato I never called Sarah a raver. I meant that the hairstyle reminded me of the way the raver girls have their hair, the ones I used to like. And since when is being a raver a bad thing? I used to be one and if you believe its an insult then suck it up...it isnt. The ravers around here are all interested in one thing, and you can bet that isn't the music. Sorry Potato, I thought you were actually serious. Yeah you are right, the scene is dead and Vicks is taking a huge profit loss because of it. Its a shame because the scene was awesome when I was going out a few years ago. Clubs are always where its at and been but they are getting a lot of heat lately as well. Sooner or later Americas club scene will diminish as well. I actually may be coming out there to the Detroit music festival is it? My friend is urging me to go see the creators( kevin saunderson, derrick may) Wish mills would be there though. Maybe even hawtin, even though hes from ontario.

Hawtin was there the first year, wasn't all that great. Saunderson, Atkins, and May (Oh My!) on the other hand, who can turn that down? Anyway, I think that the DEMF for next year *isn't* going to be all that good. After all Carl Craig was fired shortly after putting together the 2001 event. However there is talk about Carl Craig throwing a *different* festival at another location on the same weekend! I've been to the first two DEMFs and let me tell you, they're worth the trip from New Jersey. Heck, I met some people from Europe (both years) and they said it was the best weekend they'd ever had.

while we are on Ahmad Shah Massoud...for those of you who don't know he was the leader of the Northern Alliance also known as the "Anti-Taliban troops", atleast thats how CNN use to refer to them before Sept. 11. He was assassinated a couple days before September 11th by two arabic terrorists posing as journalists. While he was being interviewed the camera exploded and killed the journalists. Obviously one of them were holding the camera. It also severly injured Ahamd. Anyway Ahmad Shah Massoud, was unconscious for 11 hours and had some shrapnel lodged in his body, I believe two chunks of it in his head. He eventually died (3 days later or so I believe) Arman probably has some more information he would like to add to this.

hehehe, you guys are crazy. No, I didn't walk to the top. Thats exertion and we don't do that. I think that we just looked through the binoculars at the look out spot. We went from NJ to bar harbor Maine. It was fun but for some reason I liked Rhode Island out of all the states, besides Nj of course. Maine was freezing but I managed to get myself in the freezing cold water. We did go bike riding somewhere in either Maine or Massachusets. That was fun, its weird being able to drink out of a stream. The water was clean and cold.

That ball was an expansion chamber.

Keep in mind that this was back when it was not uncommon to see a mag with 5 or 6 loops of hose to help in expanding the Co2.

The ball was the tops of 2 12 oz Co2 bottle welded together with baffles and an internal pivoting shutoff. The idea was to keep Co2 from getting into the gun. It worked really well. I routinely played in very cold wet weather and never froze up.

Last time I brought that out to a field, the people filling my gun freaked out.

in Austria we had a tree in our back yard and strays would climb up there @ 2 am those thinks would start their mating calls... grrrr... most awefull sounds in the world...
We took wrist rockets and used masking tape on the sling to make pockets loaded them with BB's and wualla instant silenced shot-gun... works great! dead cats every morning :D

Those are Vents, they OWNED in the day, they never fogged and they were very very comphy.

Back then almost no serious tourny players played with mask, goggles only. I Played without a mask for 4 years or so. When teh NPPL make it a rule you had to have masks :/

In teh woods it was hard to hear from one side to the other. So in the middle of the game I ripped off my mask, and everyone one on my team could here my calls. Never wore a mask until I had to by the rules. I still judge with no mask.

As to the gun setup, that was a great set up, he never had liquid problems and it worked well for the way he played.

I believe this is also why I've had such a hard time getting a job in IT... I look too young to know what I know, but I could school many an IT department... particularly the ones I'm acquainted with. When they can't get any of their guys to figure things out, they bring it to me... But the turds won't put me on payroll... human resources peoples had a fit when they saw me, despite the recommendations and people walking me into the office telling them to hire me. Oh well. Guess that 55k+ salary will have to wait until I'm done with school.

Eh, screw IT. I'll get a DB programming job and put my feet on my desk. :)

Information Technology... aka MIS (Management Information Systems)

Basically you're supposed to take care of in-house computers/networks. But in the real world they got a whole bunch of monkeys who talk about computers too much and fool employers into thinking they know something. When they have a problem, they send computers off for warranty instead of fixing it. (Or take it to me at $65/hour as the case may be... :) ) When they can't solve their network stuff, they pay for 'specialists' to take care of it.

Typical IT/MIS monkey just knows how to install stuff and how to BS about computers. It's my personal philosophy that IT/MIS people should need no outside help except in rare situations... but that's not how it works in the real world (with exception of course).

I was considering starting an IT/MIS training/cert. facility... that pumps out useful techs and not drones with a fancy piece of paper with nice lettering and a golden seal. Maybe someday.
