TAC is used to reference "TACtical". Theres probably nothing anyone can do about it, if that's where you were going. If not, sounds very familiar! :)

Man, I really need to get me one of those, they are awesome. I got to fire one at IAO, and they are great.

They look cool as hell, if I was still an active 24hour scenario guy, I'd have 2!
I like how you can eject the magazine to put in more paint, but the CO2 stays contained.

Anyone else notice that the first site calls it Tac-1 and the actual manufacturer's site calls it the Tac-8? :tard:

Then again on the manufacturer’s site the first page calls it Tag8. Typo, but easy to catch. Everywhere else I saw it Tac8.

LOL, I hadn't noticed that, actually.

That thing looks very cool but substantially larger than a normal pistol(in comparison with the hands in the picture) How does it feel, to anyone who has shot it.

That does look cool, but how does that work. You can see the 12g is attached to the magazine with the paint. Wouldn't it come out as well when you reload.

There must be a cutoff or a cover you slide or something.

probably just a check valve; the air can go in but not out.... I think they are the coolest things in a long time. I would love to take one to the speedball field and see if i can make it to the other teams 40 off the break :p

The magazines are $50 a piece!

Thats pretty steep, so after you get the marker (comes with one mag), you're gonna need at least 2 or 3 more. That'll add up pretty quick.

A buddy of mine just acquired one of these... it performs quite (surprisingly) well. Too bad I just ordered my WSP..

They shoot nice... Real solid in your hand and the accuracy is decent on them. Easy to fire off a string semi-accurately -- since you do get a little recoil with the "cocking" of the marker. The magazines have a check-valve, which is why you can eject them without dumping the CO2... They also strip within seconds, too. VERY COOL.

Looks like a fun pistol. If it is called the Tac1 that's a little tacky though (no pun intended :) ) I mean, come-on, just because you "can" use the name of a gun already in production doesn't mean you couldn't show a little professional courtesy and at least chouse a different number.

Of course it looks like the mfg did just that and it was the supplier/retailer who got it wrong. :D

I think it's called the Tac8, since it holds 8 shots..

I have no doubt this is true. I didn’t have a question about why it is named what it is. I was commenting on the typo in their main page as well as that the store selling them are actually selling them under a name that appears to be incorrect. ;)

My only worry is the check valve, it's durability and rebuildability. With clips priced at $49.95 ea. I'd hate to have to replace a clip whenever a check valve failed and if it is rebuildable, that kits aren't to expensive.

Looks cool, although the manufacturer's claim of being the first magazine-fed paintball pistol is not entirely accurate.

Anyone know how it works? With 30+ shots to a 12 gram, I'm guessing DAO. Single-action blowback with a reciprocating slide would be nice but would kill the efficiency.

It would be the first magazine fed paintball pistol, if you consider that the motive source and the paintballs are in the same magazine.

The patent for it was posted on the tinker's guild about two years ago, if you check haveblue's site, you can probally find everything you need to know about it. I'll see if I can dig it up. I thought it was a dump chamber design, but I haven't looked in a while.

I wouldn't care if it only got 8 shots per 12gr if both the cartridge and the balls were in the same magazine so that's all you ever had to change on the field. Having the CO2 seal off is just an added bonus IMHO.
